Best: WrestleMania III: Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant

WrestleMania III was a show that needed a huge main event. WWE needed the biggest draw they could to pack the Silverdome. For it, they charged their two biggest stars, Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, to bring in the fans. They did, and WWE was able to set, at the time, an indoor attendance record. While disputed, yes, the number of people they jammed into Pontiac was a marvel.

Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant’s match was never going to blow purists out of the water. Andre was well past his prime, and Hogan wasn’t that type of worker. This was a story-heavy match featuring an Irresistible Force and an Immovable Object. A story that was a true passing of the torch moment when Hulk Hogan toppled Andre the Giant.
