Golden Era WWE: Best and Worst PLE/PPV Main Events

Best: WrestleMania VI: Hulk Hogan vs The Ultimate Warrior

This was a meeting of the two biggest stars of the Golden Era. Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior got the lion’s share of cheers from the crowd, and it was unthinkable when they were paired together. Having two babyfaces go to battle was not a common occurrence, and the audience was split. It was a battle worthy of the WrestleMania main event.

What made this match so special was the fact that it was the best of either man’s career. Neither was known for their wrestling acumen, but WrestleMania was the night where they bucked that trend. Both men turned in a tremendous performance, both physically and in telling a great story. There was nothing that they could do wrong, and it included a great passing of the torch finish that had the Toronto crowd roaring.
