Worst: WrestleMania VIII: Hulk Hogan vs Sid Justice
The main event scene, in the early part of 1992, was a hot mess. Rumors were flying around that Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan were going to clash for the WWE Championship. For many reasons, WWE pivoted at the last minute, and we were given the dumpster fire that was Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice.
It’s believed that Hogan lobbied to get this match in the main event slot, and it can be assured that WWE regretted it. There was nothing great about this match. From the slow pacing to the lack of crowd reaction and a massively botched finish, there was nothing that screamed PLE main event. The Ultimate Warrior’s surprise run-in was a great moment, but one that took the thunder from everything that took place before it.
