3. Team WWE vs. The Alliance – Survivor Series 2001

The Invasion storyline was poorly booked, but everyone could say good riddance to it at Survivor Series 2001. The battle lines were drawn, with the losing side going out of business. Team WWE’s side featured the WCW Champion, The Rock, Chris Jericho, Kane, The Undertaker, and Big Show. Moreover, the Alliance was strong with the WWE Champion Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Booker T, the WWE Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam, and Shane McMahon on the other side of the ring.

Arguably, it’s the most significant traditional Survivor Series elimination match in history. The star power was on show, and the match did not fail to disappoint. The Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle, betrayed the Alliance as he clocked Austin with the WWE Championship. Unsurprisingly, Rock and Austin were the final two, slugging it out. The People’s Champion earned the all-important victory after he laid out his biggest rival with the Rock Bottom.
