4. John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels – Survivor Series 2009
A pair of triple threat matches for world titles featured at Survivor Series 2009. However, the WWE Championship match was chosen to headline instead of the World Heavyweight Championship. John Cena faced two familiar foes in Triple H and Shawn Michaels, whom he beat at back-to-back WrestleManias. Cena’s WWE Championship was at stake, and the Heartbreak Kid wasted no time by hitting Sweet Chin Music to Triple H as soon as the bell rang. Every man for themselves, with both Triple H and Michaels desperate to add another world title reign to their haul.
All three men had some entertaining exchanges, and the Game executed the Pedigree on Cena, but Michaels broke it up. For sure, Cena retaining the WWE Championship with an Attitude Adjustment was predictable, but their match was fascinating to say the least.
