Say his name, and apparently, he becomes a WWE Superstar. As reported by Slam Wrestling on November 13th, 2025, Joe Hendry has supposedly signed a contract with WWE on a full-time basis. It was further corroborated by a report by Fightful confirming the deal. For most, it’s been a long time coming for Joe Hendry. Once the TNA Wrestling and WWE partnership was in full swing, Hendry was one of the most anticipated stars to possibly appear in the promotion.
Joe made it all a reality when he debuted on the June 18th, 2024 edition of WWE NXT in a 25-Man Battle Royal as a representative of TNA Wrestling to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship. He went on to do a lot more things in NXT. However, Joe Hendry did not only make a splash on the White and Gold Brand, but also on the grandest stages WWE has to offer.
Hendry appeared in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, entering at number 15, and was eliminated by the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns. A few months later, he answered the open challenge of “The Viper” Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 while still being TNA World Champion, showcasing the title at the “Showcase of the Immortals.”
Hendry has done everything in his power to spotlight TNA Wrestling, and he’s ready to start the next phase of his career with North America’s top promotion. Joe Hendry’s last match in TNA Wrestling was in Alberta, Canada, when he faced off against TNA Original Eric Young, wherein he lost in a No Disqualification Match.

Hendry leaves TNA Wrestling with a rich legacy, winning the TNA Digital Media Championship, as well as its top prize, the TNA World Championship. There really is no rest for the wicked as Hendry is set to team with former Chase University member Thea Hail, as they challenge Ethan Page and Chelsea Green for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles at NXT Gold Rush next Tuesday night.
Is this deal a sign of things to come at NXT Gold Rush, as well as the first step in the WWE journey of one Joe Hendry?
