The latest entrant in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s Battle of Los Angeles 2022 is set to bring honor and a pure wrestling approach to the tournament. The twelfth entrant announced for the PWG BOLA 2022 is none other than current Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham. This makes him one of the two world champions to enter this upcoming tournament, the other being current PWG World Champion Bandido. The PWG BOLA 2022 is set to take place on January 29 and 30.

What to Know About the Current ROH World Champion
As mentioned earlier, Jonathan Gresham is the current reigning ROH World Champion. He won the vacant title at Final Battle earlier this month, besting former 2x ROH world titleholder Jay Lethal. Prior to this, Gresham was one of the focal points of ROH’s Pure Division, holding the ROH Pure Championship for 317 days. During this time, his matches against the likes of Lethal and Mike Bennett were among the most well-received in the company. It was here where he built a bigger name for himself, eventually leading him to world championship status.
With the recent closure of ROH, Gresham is unable to defend the company’s world title on ROH programming. However, “The Foundation” has taken the title with him across the independent scene, specifically Game Changer Wrestling. At GCW Blood on the Hills earlier this month, Gresham successfully defended the ROH World Championship against AJ Gray. It’s also worth noting that, on January 23, Gresham has another title defense at The Wrld on GCW. At the historic Hammerstein Ballroom, he will put the title on the line against Blake Christian. Consider his upcoming involvement in the PWG BOLA 2022 and it’s fair to say that Jonathan Gresham has a busy year to come.
