Kevin Blackwood Announced For PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2022

Kevin Blackwood in BOLA

The floodgates are open and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) has begun announcing entrants in their Battle of Los Angeles tournament. Arguably the most prestigious indie wrestling tournament on U.S. soil. Following the announcements of JONAH (formerly Bronson Reed in NXT and Jonah Rock in the Australian indies) and Alex Shelley, PWG announced on Wednesday night that Kevin Blackwood was the third entrant for the PWG tournament, set for January 29 & 30 of 2022. It marks PWG’s first Battle of Los Angeles post-pandemic and first since 2019, which was won by current PWG and Ring of Honor World Champion Bandido.

Kevin Blackwood To Participate in PWG Battle of Los Angeles

It marks the first Battle of Los Angeles (BOLA) tournament entry for Kevin Blackwood – one of the infamous Buffalo Brothers group that features AEW stars The Butcher & The Blade and Daniel Garcia, as well as indie stars Puf and Kevin Bennett. Who made his PWG debut this past November at PWG It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock N’ Roll), where he faced off against another AEW star in Lee Moriarty. Last year Blackwood relocated to the West Coast from his native Buffalo and has been working more West Coast promotions outside his PWG debut, including with DEFY Wrestling and West Coast Pro Wrestling (WCPW) while continuing to work indies nationally (with appearances for AEW as well). A huge chance for Kevin Blackwood to showcase his skills in one of pro wrestling’s most prestigious tournaments. A former C4 Underground Champion in Canada, he’s also the reigning Empire State Wrestling (ESW) Champion. He defeated Garcia for ESW title two weeks ago.
