The Judgment Day
Edge founded the Judgment Day in 2022, which quickly recruited Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. The group went through a “No Leaders Era” in 2023, ousting Edge from the faction with the help of Finn Balor, shifting the group into its current dominant form. Over the next few years, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodrigues, and Roxanne Perez would all join this powerhouse faction.
The Judgement Day brought tons of gold to their part of the locker room, as they became only the second faction in WWE history to hold titles on Raw, SmackDown, and NXT at the same time. In early 2024, Damian Priest was the World Heavyweight Champion, Rhea Ripley was the Women’s World Champion, Balor and McDonagh held the World Tag Team titles, and Dominik Mysterio was the NXT North American Champion.
The faction has seen recent success with Balor, McDonagh, Mysterio, Morgan, Perez, and Rodriguez all wearing gold over the past year.
The group is notable not only in their dominance at winning titles, but for the elevation of Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio to the characters they are today. Mysterio’s character was a struggling babyface until The Judgement Day transformed him into one of the most hated heels in the circuit. Ripley saw her popularity soar to become the face of the WWE Women’s division.
What ranks this faction so high on the list is the fact that the group has seen tons of success not only on the men’s side, but also in the women’s division, with each member consistently either holding championships or vying for them.
