5 – Survivor Series 2009
The 2009 edition of Survivor Series featured world championship matches that were mirror images of each other, as both reigning world champions defended their titles in triple threat matches against tag team partners.
The Undertaker halted Chris Jericho and Big Show’s chances of becoming double champions as he retained the World Heavyweight Championship against the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions. John Cena, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels contested a high-quality triple threat match for the WWE Championship, with Cena inevitably retaining his title.
Former WWE Tag Team Champions Batista and Rey Mysterio were at loggerheads, with Batista continuing to have success in his newly minted heel run by demolishing the Master of the 619. Championship wins were not too distant a future for the likes of Sheamus and Drew McIntyre, who were victorious on Team Miz, and Team Mickie prevailed over Team McCool.
