6 – Survivor Series 2005
If you want to see how to do Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown right in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match, cast your mind back to Survivor Series 2005. The build-up was intense, and the match delivered.
SmackDown’s quintet comprised of Batista, Randy Orton, JBL, Bobby Lashley, and Rey Mysterio. They registered a victory over Raw’s Shawn Michaels, Kane, Big Show, Carlito, and Chris Masters, with Orton becoming the sole survivor for the third consecutive year. Undertaker had the last word as he returned and cleaned out Team SmackDown.
The undercard was fantastic, with Triple H defeating the Intercontinental Champion Ric Flair in a brutal non-title Last Man Standing match. Trish Stratus and Melina collided over the WWE Women’s Championship, and John Cena escaped with the WWE Championship in an excellent title defense against four-time WWE Champion Kurt Angle.
