Santos, who has been representing the Italian midfielder for quite some time, has given a very interesting update on his future. He told TuttoMercatoWeb: “His contract is expiring in June but our priority is to negotiate with Chelsea, so we are on it.

Jorginho’s Chelsea Career So Far

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Napoli in 2018, Jorginho has had quite a lot of success with the London side. He’s made 200 appearances for the club, scoring 28 goals and providing nine assists across all competitions. The Italian international had the best season of his career in the 2020/21 campaign – when he helped the Blues win the Champions League and also went on to win the Euro 2020 title with Italy. For his heroics, Jorginho won the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year title in 2021 and finished third in the Ballon d’Or ranking. He was called the ‘best midfielder in the world’ by Jose Mourinho earlier this year, but it remains to be seen if Chelsea – who are currently focusing on building a strong youth core – keep him beyond next year.
