The Italian international had the best season of his career in the 2020/21 campaign – when he helped the Blues win the Champions League and also went on to win the Euro 2020 title with Italy. For his heroics, Jorginho won the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year title in 2021 and finished third in the Ballon d’Or ranking. He was called the ‘best midfielder in the world’ by Jose Mourinho earlier this year, but it remains to be seen if Chelsea – who are currently focusing on building a strong youth core – keep him beyond next year.
