James Garner

Fabrizio Romano has issued an enormous update with regards to Manchester United man James Garner joining Everton. The transfer insider has given his coveted “here we go” on the deal, meaning that it is set to go through.

Romano has included one absolutely vital piece of information that will be a massive relief for fans of the Red Devils and is great news for Erik ten Hag: United will retain a buy-back clause in the deal. This is crucial for them, as Garner has immense potential, and if he realises it, they will want to bring him back to the Theatre of Dreams.

Frank Lampard Looking at James Garner to Bolster Everton Midfield

Everton and Frank Lampard are expected to get a much needed boost to their midfield. The Toffees will sign the 21-year-old midfielder alongside Idrissa Gueye. Everton had been looking for fresh faces in the midfield following an underwhelming performance last season.

Garner, who joined Manchester United at the age of 8, made his senior debut for the club in 2019 at the age of 17. A lack of first-team oppurtunities had seen the midfielder spending the last two seasons on loan in the Championship. The 21-year-old had an impressive loan spell at Nottingham Forrest last season, playing a crucial role in the club’s promotion to the Premier League.

While, Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka is  close to joining the Manchester side to provide competition to David De Gea. Barcelona right-bak Sergino Dest is another name that is doing the rounds at Old Trafford.

Manchester United are looking to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka while Amad Diallo is likely to move out on loan.
