No Real Madrid Deal With Aurelien Tchouameni

The agent of young French star Aurelien Tchouameni has denied the idea that the player had agreed on personal terms with Real Madrid, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Real Madrid, however, continue to monitor the player. Competition is stiff, though, with two Premier League clubs as well as Paris Saint-Germain keeping tabs. As of right now, Tchouameni reportedly has no agreements with any club outside of AS Monaco.

Midfield Wealth

A large bulk of Real Madrid’s success of recent years comes straight from their midfield. The trio of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Casemiro have long been one of Europe’s top midfields, if not the absolute best.

As the trio continues to age, albeit not as obvious on the pitch, Real Madrid are looking for reinforcements. Eduardo Camavinga, another young French midfielder, arrived last summer. He’s been an excellent addition. Federico Valverde continues to show promise, whereas Dani Ceballos is a solid option with plenty of experience.

At one point, the Spanish giants were after Franck Kessie of AC Milan. Ultimately it was the club’s main rival, Barcelona, who have seemingly secured Kessie’s signature.

This leaves Real Madrid searching for options with Tchouameni at the top of their list. He’s been nothing short of spectacular for Monaco in Ligue 1 this season. He plays both the central and defensive midfield positions and has one goal and one assist to his name in 27 league matches this season. Tchouameni’s value, however, doesn’t necessarily show up on the statistical sheet. He’s a true Ligue 1 star, consistently outperforming his midfield opponents. At 22-years-old, Tchouameni will only improve from here on. Real Madrid now have a rare opportunity to secure his signing and pair him up with Camavinga. This allows them to secure their future midfield as well as likely that of the French National Team.
