EFL Transfer News: Deadline Day Deals and Rumours

The busiest day of the summer transfer window is upon us. Teams across Europe are doing their best to get any last-minute deals over the line, and that’s no different in the EFL. Join us here as we bring you the latest EFL transfer news from deadline day.

Preston Sign Murphy and McCann

Preston North End have made the late additions of Josh Murphy and Ali McCann.

Murphy joins on a season-long loan deal from fellow Championship side Cardiff City.

Meanwhile, McCann arrives on a permanent deal from St Johnstone and joins for an undisclosed fee.

 

Fulham Sign Chalobah and Quina

Fulham have completed a double swoop for Watford pair Nathaniel Chalobah and Domingos Quina.

Chalobah joins the club on a permanent deal, while Quina joins initially on loan.

Stoke Loan Out Jones

Another Stoke youngster to leave on loan is Eddy Jones.

The defender has signed for League Two side Hartlepool United on loan until January 2022.

Charlton Re-Sign Leko and Add Lavelle

Charlton Athletic have re-signed winger Jonathan Leko on a season-long loan from Birmingham City.

In addition, they have added Morecambe’s promotion-winning captain Sam Lavelle on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Arsenal Youngster Joins Carlisle

Arsenal defender Jonathan Dinzeyi will spend the rest of the 2021/22 season on loan at Carlisle United, the club have confirmed.

Millwall Sign Ojo

Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo has completed a loan move to Championship side Millwall.

The 24-year-old will spend the season with Gary Rowett’s side.

Forrester and Nartey Join Stags

Mansfield Town have brought in Stoke defender Will Forrester on loan until January.

The 20-year-old, who scored his first goal against Bournemouth at the end of last season, is currently recovering from an injury and will be available in around two weeks.

Burnley defender Richard Nartey has also joined the Stags on loan.

The 22-year-old will reunite with Nigel Clough having played under him at Burton Albion in the 2019/20 season.

Spurs Winger Joins Crewe

Crewe Alexandra have signed Tottenham Hotspur winger J’Neil Bennett on loan until January.

The 19-year-old recently made his full debut for Spurs in the Europa Conference League first-leg defeat against Pacos de Ferreira.

Bennett trained with Crewe earlier this summer and scored in their U23 friendly against Wolves.

Grimes Stays; Obafemi Joins

Despite interest from Fulham, Matt Grimes has remained with Swansea City and will continue with the club.

Interest from the Cottagers had increased in recent days, but Swansea rejected any advances to keep ahold of their captain.

They have also confirmed the addition of striker Michael Obafemi.

The Republic of Ireland international signs from Southampton on a permanent deal and replaces Jamal Lowe, who was sold to Bournemouth earlier today.

Rotherham Loan in Grigg

Rotherham United have confirmed the signing of Will Grigg on loan from Sunderland.

The Northern Ireland striker will spend the season with the Millers as his disappointing spell on Wearside continues.

Olsen Confirmed; Collado Collapses

Sheffield United have confirmed the signing of Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen.

The Sweden international joins Slavisa Jokanovic’s side on a season-long loan from the Italian club.

 

The loan deal for Alex Collado, though, has collapsed.

The Spaniard was set to join from Barcelona but he will now stay at the club.

Jebbison and Lakin Join Burton

Burton Albion have confirmed the arrivals of Daniel Jebbison and Charlie Lakin.

Striker Jebbison arrives on a season-long loan from Championship club Sheffield United.

Lakin, meanwhile, joins on a permanent deal from Birmingham City.

Forest Sign Silva

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Xande Silva from West Ham.

Silva joins on a permanent deal and can play either as a winger or a striker.

Vilca Set for Doncaster

Newcastle U23 player Rodrigo Vilca is set to sign for Doncaster Rovers on loan until January, reports Chris Waugh of The Athletic.

Miller Joins Walsall

Walsall have confirmed the signing of George Miller on a season-long loan from Barnsley.

Joseph Leaves on Loan

Swansea striker Kyle Joseph has completed a loan move to League One side Gillingham, as reported earlier today.

Triple Signing for Gas

Bristol Rovers have announced the signing of trio Leon Clarke, Junior Brown and Antony Evans to bolster their squad ahead of a hopeful promotion charge in League Two.

Millwall in for Ojo

Millwall, one of the Championship clubs previously linked with Sheyi Ojo, are now in pole position to land the winger.

Any move for the 24-year-old will be a season-long loan deal.

Gotts Departs Leeds

Robbie Gotts has become the second player to depart Leeds for Barrow, following Jordan Stevens who moved earlier this evening.

Grigg Set for Millers

In more Sunderland news, striker Will Grigg is set to depart on loan again, this time for Rotherham United, according to the Sunderland Echo.

Another Through the Door at Sunderland

Sunderland have signed goalkeeper Thorban Hoffman on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich.

The 22-year-old made over 50 appearances for Bayern’s second side last season and has been capped at U18 level for Germany.

Kelman Loaned to Gills

QPR striker Charlie Kelman has completed a loan move to League One side Gillingham.

He will stay with Steve Evans’ side until the end of the season.

Gray Completes QPR Loan

Queens Park Rangers have confirmed the loan signing of Andre Gray from Watford.

The 30-year-old links up with the club until the end of the season and reunites with Mark Warburton, who he played under at Brentford in the 2014/15 season.

Meanwhile, QPR defender Todd Kane has completed a permanent move to Coventry City, signing a two-year deal.

Barnsley in for Manchester City Youngster

Manchester City youngster Claudio Gomes is close to joining Barnsley on loan, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Sheffield United Closing in on Barcelona Midfielder

Fabrizio Romano reports that Barcelona midfielder Alex Collado is set to join Sheffield United on loan until 2022.

Forest Make Double Swoop

Nottingham Forest have made two new additions late on deadline day.

The first is Paraguayan midfielder Braian Ojeda on a four-year deal from Paraguayan side Olimpia.

Meanwhile, Olympiakos full-back Mohamed Drager has also checked in at the club, signing permanently.

The 25-year-old has made 18 appearances for the Tunisia national team, scoring twice.

Ipswich in for Morsy

Ipswich are set to cap off their incredible signing spree this summer with the capture of Sam Morsy from Middlesbrough.

The Egypt international looks set to drop down the divisions, according to Stuart Watson of the EADT, to re-unite with former Wigan manager Paul Cook.

Championship sides Preston, Sheffield United and Luton were all reportedly interested in his signature.

Swindon Sign Gilbert

Swindon Town have completed the signing of Brentford youngster Alex Gilbert.

He arrives on a season-long loan from Brentford’s B team.

Championship Interest in Ojo

At least two Championship clubs are interested in signing Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo, reports Caoimhe O’Neill of The Athletic.

However, there is also interest from a team in the Netherlands for the 24-year-old.

Ojo has previously had loan spells at Cardiff, Fulham and Rangers.

Fulham in Talks to Sign Chalobah

Fulham are in talks with Watford to sign midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, reports Peter Rutzler of The Athletic.

The 26-year-old has one year left on his Hornets contract but has struggled to nail down a place since arriving in 2017 under Marco Silva.

Fulham have lost Andre-Frank Anguissa to Napoli in this window so therefore are in the market for a replacement.

Sunderland Bring in Champions League Winner

Sunderland have confirmed the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Dajaku.

Dajaku has completed a move from Bayern to Union Berlin, and it’s from there where he joins on loan.

He made two senior appearances for Bayern during his stint at the club.

Diamond Returns to Harrogate

Twenty-one-year-old forward Jack Diamond has re-signed for Harrogate Town from Sunderland.

Diamond helped Harrogate to promotion in the 2019/20 season, scoring four goals in 31 appearances.

Last season, he netted twice in 35 matches for Lee Johnson’s Black Cats.

He joins Harrogate on loan until the end of the season.

Stevens Joins Barrow

Leeds United midfielder Jordan Stevens has completed a permanent move to Barrow.

The 21-year-old spent periods on loan at Swindon Town and Bradford City last season.

Now, though, he has signed a two-year deal with Barrow having previously played with manager Mark Cooper while at Forest Green Rovers, who he played for before Leeds.

O’s Make Second Signing of Deadline Day

Leyton Orient have made former AFC Wimbledon midfielder Callum Reilly their second signing of the day.

Kenny Jackett’s side signed Alex Mitchell on loan from Millwall earlier today and Reilly now joins until the end of the season on a free transfer.

He was released by AFC Wimbledon at the end of last season and has previously played for Birmingham City, Burton Albion, Bury and Gillingham.

Robson Links Up With Lincoln

Lincoln have signed Dundee United left-back Jamie Robson for an undisclosed fee on a long-term deal.

Coventry Signs for Peterborough

Peterborough United have confirmed the signing of West Ham midfielder Conor Coventry on a season-long loan.

The midfielder featured for League One side Lincoln City last season during a loan spell and will now have the opportunity to impress in the Championship.

Dobra Joins U’s

Ipswich Town forward Armando Dobra has joined Colchester United on a season-long loan.

The Albania youth international made has made 30 appearances for Ipswich since netting on his debut against Luton Town in 2019.

Chapman Joins Brewers

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Harry Chapman has completed a loan move to Burton Albion.

The 23-year-old has signed for the League One side until January after spending part of last season with Shrewsbury Town.

He has come off the bench three times for Blackburn this season and has found starts hard to come by since joining the club in 2019.

Bennett Signs for Wigan

Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of former Cardiff left-back Joe Bennett.

The 31-year-old was released by the Bluebirds at the end of last season after five years with the club.

He joins the Latics on a two-year deal.

Kioso Returns to MK Dons

MK Dons have announced the signing of defender Peter Kioso on loan from Luton Town.

The right-back will stay with the club until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old joined the Dons academy at the age of 14 but left after he was not offered professional terms.

After working his way through non-league, he joined Luton in 2020 and featured on loan for Bolton Wanderers and Northampton Town last season.

 

Swansea Close to Signing Obafemi and Confirm Williams

Swansea are closing in on the signing of Michael Obafemi on a permanent deal from Southampton, reports Stuart James of The Athletic.

Obafemi has been sought by many Championship clubs in this window, particularly Blackburn, but Swansea have come in late to secure the deal.

The 21-year-old is currently undergoing a medical with the Swans and is viewed to be a replacement for Jamal Lowe, who is on his way to Bournemouth.

Russell Martin’s side have also confirmed the signing of centre-back Rhys Williams on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool.

 

O’Connor and Duffy Join Tranmere

Tranmere have added two further additions on deadline day.

Micky Mellon’s side have re-signed left-back Lee O’Connor on loan from Celtic, while Mark Duffy has joined on a permanent deal until January.

Melbourne Signs for Stevenage

Max Melbourne has signed for Stevenage on loan from Lincoln City until January.

The 22-year-old joined Lincoln in January 2020 and spent time on loan at Walsall last season.

Stoke Striker Leaves on Loan

Stoke youngster Christian Norton has joined League One side Cheltenham Town on loan until January.

Norton came through the youth academy at Southampton but left in 2020 to join Stoke.

At the end of last season, Norton made six appearances for Stoke in their Championship campaign, starting against Preston and Coventry.

Da Costa Departs Forest

Nottingham Forest forward Nuno Da Costa has joined French Ligue 2 side Caen on loan for the season.

Da Costa has made one appearance this season, playing against Bradford City in the cup.

Scunthorpe Bring in Hull Youngster

Scunthorpe United have signed Hull City midfielder Harry Wood on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old made his senior debut for the Tigers last season as a substitute against Charlton Athletic and penned a two-year deal at the club soon after.

 

Love Signs for Salford

Salford City have completed the signing of former Manchester United defender Donald Love.

The 26-year-old, who left Shrewsbury Town at the end of last season, joins the Ammies on a one-year-old.

Love has also spent time with Wigan Athletic and Sunderland in his career.

Upon his arrival, he said: “It’s really good to get here, get going and hopefully we can do really well this year.

“It’s a really good setup and I can’t wait to get going on the pitch. The Manager’s been really good with me, he’s a really nice guy and hopefully I can come in and do well for him.”

 

Stoke Sign Duhaney on Short-Term Deal

Stoke City have signed defender Demeaco Duhaney on a short-term contract, the club have confirmed.

The 22-year-old right-back joins after a successful trial at the club and becomes their seventh signing of the summer.

Manager Michael O’Neill said: “Demeaco has spent a couple of weeks on trial with us and we have liked what we’ve seen.

“He will provide good competition for Tommy Smith and has an opportunity between now and January to secure a longer-term contract with us.”

Khadra Completes Blackburn Move

Reda Khadra has completed his loan move from Brighton to Blackburn Rovers.

 

Newport Confirm Cain

Newport County have confirmed the signing of Jake Cain from Liverpool.

 

The youngster joins the Exiles on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Mellor Swaps Morecambe for Carlisle

Carlisle United have signed Morecambe defender Kelvin Mellor on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old was part of the team that surprisingly secured promotion for Morecambe last season, but he has taken the step back down to League Two to sign for Chris Beech’s side.

On the move, Beech said: “This option presented itself to us and got completed within a relatively short space of time. I’d actually had several conversations with Kelvin before, so it’s a player we know a lot about.

Mitchell Signs for O’s

Leyton Orient have signed Millwall defender Alex Mitchell on loan for the rest of the 2021/22 season.

The 19-year-old signed for Orient’s near neighbours in 2018 and has risen through the U18 and U19 squads.

Mitchell has experienced regular game time in the National League with Bromley. Despite only joining in April, he made 11 appearances for the side as they made the play-off eliminator match, which they lost to Hartlepool United.

Mitchell’s senior debut for Millwall came in the Carabao Cup win over Cambridge United earlier this month.

 

Berahino Joins Owls

Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of former West Brom and Stoke striker Saido Berahino.

He becomes the club’s 14th signing of the window and has previously worked with Wednesday boss Darren Moore at West Brom.

Middlesbrough Sign Sporar

Middlesbrough have announced the signing of Slovenia international Andraz Sporar from Sporting Lisbon.

Sporar, so far in his career, has scored 141 goals in over 300 games.

He also won the Slovak Super Liga title in 2019 and was the top scorer in Slovakia for two years in a row with Slovan Bratislava.

Sporar is currently on international duty with Slovenia ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Slovakia, Malta and Croatia.

 

Football Insider also report that they have agreed to sign midfielder James Lea-Siliki on loan from French side Rennes.

Arter Set to Join Charlton

Richard Cawley reports that Charlton Athletic are close to signing former Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter.

The 31-year-old is currently at Nottingham Forest but he has only made a handful of appearances since joining last year.

Arter came through the youth academy at Charlton and made one appearance for the first team, which came in a League Cup tie against Luton Town.

Joseph Agrees to Cheltenham Loan

Swansea City striker Kyle Joseph has agreed to join League One side Cheltenham Town on loan, according to Football Insider.

The 19-year-old joined the Swans earlier this summer after leaving Wigan Athletic but is set to drop back down to League One in the search for regular minutes.

Accrington Reject Bid for Bishop

Accrington Stanley have rejected Peterborough United’s latest bid for Colby Bishop, reports Football Insider.

It is thought that that was Posh’s final bid for the striker and they will not be returning with another effort.

Championship side Preston North End and Huddersfield Town could now move in for him.

Olsen and Karamoh Close to Sheffield United Moves

Sheffield United are close to signing Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen and Parma winger Yann Karamoh.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Karamoh will join on a season-long loan from the Italian side and is currently undergoing a medical in Paris.

He adds that Swedish goalkeeper Olsen will also join on a season-long loan and that the deal has already been agreed.

Tranmere Make Double Signing

Tranmere Rovers have confirmed the signings of Nicky Maynard and Stephen Walker.

Maynard has signed a permanent deal until the end of the season having supposedly turned down offers from League One clubs.

The former West Ham and Bristol City striker finished last season on loan at Newport County from Mansfield Town.

Walker, meanwhile, joins on a season-long loan from Middlesbrough.

The striker started last season on loan at MK Dons before being recalled and sent to Crewe Alexandra.

 

Samuel Departs Wycombe

Wycombe Wanderers striker Alex Samuel has left the club by mutual consent to join Scottish club Ross County.

The striker joined after a successful trial in 2018 and was part of the historic Wycombe side that secured promotion to the Championship for the first time ever.

Fulham Transfer Update

Fulham have confirmed the departure of midfielder Andre-Frank Anguissa on loan to Napoli, who will have an option to purchase him for €15 million.

The Cottagers are aiming to replace him before the close of play tonight, according to Peter Rutzler, and have made an enquiry to Real Betis for William Carvalho, while Swansea’s Matt Grimes also remains an option.

They are also looking to sign a right-back if the right opportunity comes up, with Cyrus Christie a likely departure.

Parker Leaves Burton

Burton Albion have confirmed that forward Josh Parker has left the club by mutual consent.

Parker joined the Brewers in January from Wycombe Wanderers and helped them to secure survival in League One last season.

He leaves the club having made six appearances.

West Brom Trying to Sell Zohore

West Bromwich Albion are attempting to sell Kenneth Zohore before the end of tonight’s deadline but are finding it difficult to find any buyers.

Zohore has spent two years at the club but spent last season on loan at Millwall.

Steve Madeley reports that even if he was to leave, West Brom would not seek to bring in a replacement.

Olivier Ntcham Nearing Swansea Move

The Athletic’s Stuart James is reporting that former Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham is undergoing a medical at Championship side Swansea City.

Ntcham can play either as a number eight or a number ten and has been considered by Newcastle United both in this window and in the past.

James adds that there are still some financial aspects of the deal to sort before it can be completed.

Exeter SignTaylor

Exeter City have completed the signing of Kyle Taylor from Bournemouth.

Taylor, who has also had loan spells at Forest Green Rovers and Southend United, made just three appearances for the Cherries.

Isaac Olaofe to Re-Sign for Sutton United on Loan

As per Richard Cawley, Millwall striker Isaac Olaofe is set to re-sign for Sutton United on loan, having previously played a vital part in their promotion from the National League last season, scoring a total of 14 goals in 37 games.

Now set to play in League Two, the forward will be looking to help Sutton off the foot of the table.

Cooper Joins Newport County


Ollie Cooper has officially joined Newport County on a season-long loan from Swansea City. The forward joins looking to inject much-needed goals into the side.

So far this season, Newport have netted just three goals, and picked up two wins in four League Two games.

Leeds Youngsters Heading Out

Leeds United midfielder Robbie Gotts is set to leave the club in a permanent deal, according to Phil Hay.

Oldham Athletic and Barrow are two EFL clubs that have been linked with a move for the youngster, while Scottish side Motherwell have also shown interest.

As well, another Leeds youngster in Jordan Stevens will join Barrow on loan for the remainder of the season.

Brighton Signing to Join Stoke on Loan

Brighton are set to sign Senegalese striker Abdallah Sima from Slavia Prague and loan him straight out to Stoke City, reports Andy Naylor of The Athletic.

He will join Leo Ostigard at the club, who is already there on loan from Graham Potter’s side.

Malcolm Joins Accrington

West Bromwich Albion teenager Jovan Malcolm has joined League One side Accrington Stanley on loan.

The 18-year-old has signed a season-long deal with John Coleman’s side.

He signed his first professional contract with West Brom this summer.

 

Liverpool’s Williams to be Loaned Out

Liverpool defender Rhys Williams will join Swansea on loan, according to Ian Mitchelmore of Wales Online.

The 20-year-old made 19 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season in the midst of their defensive crisis.

Gibbs-White Set for Sheffield United

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is set to join Sheffield United on loan, according to Tim Spiers of The Athletic.

The youngster has featured twice in the Premier League this season and scored in the Carabao Cup win against Nottingham Forest, but he is set to move to the Championship once again having previously been on loan at Swansea City.

There will be no option for the Blades to purchase Gibbs-White permanently at the end of the deal.

It’s thought that the deal will allow Wolves to make more additions on transfer deadline day.

League One Sides Keen on Kelman

Gillingham and AFC Wimbledon are both keen on signing QPR striker Charlie Kelman on loan, reports West London Sport.

Rangers have been looking to loan out the 19-year-old and a decision will be made later today over which club to send him to.

Kelman’s departure will free up space for the arrival of Andre Gray on loan from Watford.

Jebbison On Course for Burton

Sheffield United striker Daniel Jebbison is close to joining League One side Burton Albion on loan, reports Graeme Bailey.

Jebbison has been sought by many clubs in this window after he got a handful of appearances for the Blades at the end of their dismal Premier League campaign last season.

The youngster scored the only goal of the game as the already-relegated Blades won 1-0 away at Everton last season, although upon their relegation, it seems likely that Jebbison will get a season away to secure regular minutes.

Bailey reports that Jebbison himself refused a move to United’s sister club, Beerschot, in Belgium. A permanent bid from Everton was also turned down, while there have been offers from Sunderland and Hull City too.

U’s Bring in Davis

Oxford United have signed young midfielder Ben Davis on a two-year deal from Fulham.

The 20-year-old was a regular in the U18 and U23 sides at Fulham and had previously featured for their side in the Papa John’s Trophy.

U’s manager Karl Robinson said of the move: “He’s got energy and talent and has been through the system at a terrific club who have a history of helping young players develop. As with Mackenzie Chapman who we signed on Friday, Ben has a good attitude, lots of ability and we look forward to working with him and seeing him develop further.”

 

Sunderland Involved in Complicated Deal

Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Dajaku is set to sign for fellow German side Union Berlin. However, as part of the deal, he will be loaned straight to Sunderland for the rest of the 2021/22 season.

Dajaku will sign for Union for €1 million on a four-year deal, according to Florian Plettenberg, and will link straight up with Lee Johnson’s side with an announcement expected later today.

The 20-year-old has the potential to be a top signing for Sunderland, having already made two appearances for Bayern’s first team.

Gabriel Joins Blackpool

Blackpool have confirmed the permanent signing of Jordan Gabriel from Nottingham Forest.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with the club but has now joined Neil Critchley’s for an undisclosed fee, signing a four-year contract with the option of a further year.

Gabriel featured 35 times for Blackpool last season as they won promotion to the Championship via the play-offs.

 

Crawford Leaves Bolton on Loan

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Ali Crawford has joined Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone on loan until January.

Crawford joined Bolton in 2019 following his release from Doncaster Rovers and, since joining, he has scored three times in 38 appearances.

 

Reading in Talks for Carroll

Reading are in talks to sign former Newcastle United and England striker Andy Carroll, according to Football Insider.

Carroll is currently a free agent having left Newcastle at the end of June when his contract expired. His return to St James’ Park did not go to plan, scoring once in 43 games.

The 32-year-old last played in the Championship during the 2009/10 season, helping Newcastle to promotion with 17 goals in 39 league appearances. Since then, he has remained at Premier League level with the Magpies, Liverpool and West Ham United.

The last few years have not worked out for the striker. The last season in which he scored more than five league goals was 2016/17 for West Ham, and since then he has struggled to get minutes wherever he has been.

A drop down the league could reignite what is fast becoming a stagnant career.

Gray Completes QPR Medical

Watford striker Andre Gray has completed his medical ahead of a loan move to Queens Park Rangers, reports Ryan Gray of the Watford Observer.

The once-record signing for the Hornets has struggled to nail down a regular place in the team in recent years and he has just one year remaining on his contract at the club.

An announcement from QPR is expected later today.

Cain Set for Newport Loan

Liverpool youngster Jake Cain is set to join Newport County on loan, reports Simon Hughes and Caoimhe O’Neill of The Athletic.

It will be the 19-year-old’s first loan away from the club but Liverpool will also have the opportunity to re-call him in January.

Cain is highly thought of by Reds manager Jurgen Klopp. He made his debut in the FA Cup fourth-round replay against Shrewsbury Town in 2020 and has made numerous appearances on the substitutes bench, featuring in nine matchday squads for Champions League fixtures.

Blackpool Sign Sterling on Loan

Championship side Blackpool have signed Chelsea youngster Dujon Sterling on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old right-back has previously had loan experience at Coventry City and Wigan Athletic, while also being a regular member of England’s youth teams.

He was part of the U19 squad that won the UEFA European Championship in 2017 and was nominated for the Team of the Tournament.

At domestic level, he has won the FA Youth Cup three times and he made his debut for the first-team in an FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest in 2017.

 

Khadra to Join Blackburn

The Athletic’s Ahmed Shooble reports that Blackburn Rovers are set to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Reda Khadra on loan.

He will join teammate Jan Paul van Hecke at Rovers, who signed earlier in the window.

Khadra has featured once in the Premier League, coming on as a late substitute in a 1-0 defeat away at Manchester City.

Bournemouth Agree Fee for Lowe

Bournemouth have agreed a fee with Swansea City to sign attacker Jamal Lowe, reports Stuart James of The Athletic.

It is believed the fee is around £1.5 million and could rise to £2 million, and Swansea hope to use that money to find a replacement before the window closes tonight.

The Cherries are also hopeful of signing Ryan Christie from Scottish side Celtic, although Premier League club Burnley are also in the hunt for him.

Ipswich Re-Sign Celina on Loan

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Bersant Celina from French side Dijon on a season-long loan.

Celina returns to the side that he spent time at during the 2017/18 season when he was at Manchester City. During that time, he scored eight goals in 38 appearances.

The Kosovan forward also spent two years at Swansea City after his time at Ipswich before moving to Dijon in 2020, where he failed to find the net in 32 matches.

Celina becomes Town’s 18th signing of an extremely busy transfer window.
