Football Transfer News: Chelsea Allow Two to Leave on Loan and Rekeem Harper Signs for Ipswich From West Brom

Nathan Baxter Joins Hull City on Loan From Chelsea

Hull City have completed the season-long loan signing of goalkeeper Nathan Baxter from Chelsea. A product of the Chelsea academy, Baxter has had several loan spells away from Stamford Bridge, playing in England and Scotland, amassing over 150 appearances.

The highly-rated 22-year-old will now battle to become City’s number one goalkeeper as they embark on their first season back in the Championship having won League One last season.

Huddersfield Town Complete Loan Signing of Chelsea Defender

Championship side Huddersfield Town have completed the season-long loan signing of Chelsea central defender Levi Colwill.

The left-footed centre-back who has been capped by England at Under-17 level has yet to make a league appearance for Chelsea but has featured in the Papa Johns Trophy for the Blues. He was also brought in to train with Chelsea’s senior squad by manager Thomas Tuchel towards the end of last season.

Huddersfield Head Coach Carlos Corberán was pleased to bring Colwill to the club. He said: “I’m looking forward to working with Levi this season, as he is a very talented player with big potential.

“He has many of the qualities we look for in our centre backs. Is already very impressive physically, and his athletic ability will help the team defend the space in behind. He is also very comfortable in possession, as you would expect from someone who is in the Chelsea Academy.

Rekeem Harper Leaves West Bromwich Albion for Ipswich Town

League One side Ipswich Town today made a further addition to their squad with the signing of Rekeem Harper from West Brom. Harper is the Tractor Boys third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Wes Burns and Lee Evans. 21-year-old midfielder Harper has signed for an undisclosed fee and has agreed a three-year deal with next seasons promotion hopefuls.

Upon signing, Harper spoke to the official Ipswich Town website: “I’m absolutely delighted to be here.

“I feel like it’s a perfect opportunity for me to come and settle in an environment and help a team that shares the same goal as me – getting to the top.

“This move shows my motivation and I can’t wait to get started with the group.”
