The French side have been one of the more active sides in this transfer window. They have already snapped up Napoli forward Arkaduisz Milik and are now set to replace Sanson with talented 18-year-old Tongya.

He is predominantly a central midfielder but can play across various positions. Tongya is highly thought of and is set to continue his development in France under Andre Villas-Boas. However, he is joining at a time where Marseille are struggling for form and confidence. They have lost their last three league games.

While they are gaining Franco Tongya, they are going to lose pacey winger Marley Ake. The 20-year-old is heading in the opposite direction with Juventus gaining the highly-rated Frenchman.

Ake has played nine times in Ligue 1 this season and also featured for Marseille in the Champions League. He is yet to score or assist this campaign but Juventus have seen enough to make a move. He joins the Serie A champions who are fighting desperately to retain their title. They sit fourth, seven points behind leaders AC Milan

Ake has played just 146 minutes of league football this campaign having not started for the French side. At this stage of his career, he needs game time and Juventus will try to find the best solution for him.

It’s unclear at this stage whether he will head into the Juventus first team or train their U23s. Andrea Pirlo has given youth players a chance so he may get an opportunity. Another possibility is a straight loan move to another side for the rest of the season.
