Every WWE Women’s Royal Rumble Match Runner-Up, Ranked

The Royal Rumble is one of the most beloved PPVs on the WWE calendar. The prize is huge, as the winner of the Royal Rumble match guarantees themselves a world championship match at WrestleMania. Nevertheless, up until 2018, that honor was exclusive to men until women finally had a Royal Rumble match. The women’s Royal Rumble match has provided some excellent drama over the years, with some iconic winners.

The 5 Best WWE Royal Rumble Runner-Ups, Ranked

The likes of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley are among the household names that have triumphed in a Royal Rumble match. However, being the runner-up is heartbreaking, as you are one elimination away from winning the women’s Royal Rumble match. Someone has to be the bridesmaid, and several major names have found themselves finishing as the runner-up with contrasting performances.

6. Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella was a surprise entrant in the inaugural women’s Royal Rumble match in 2018. She entered 27th, and the longest-reigning Divas Champion in WWE history lasted 16 minutes and 30 seconds. Bella wasn’t there to make up the numbers as she was determined to challenge for a world championship at WrestleMania.

Whilst Bella’s performance was decent as she eliminated four competitors, she shouldn’t have been in the final two. Bella eliminated her twin sister Brie Bella, who also featured in the Rumble. Inevitably, when it came down to Nikki Bella and Asuka as the final two competitors, it was obvious that the Empress of Tomorrow was going over.
