WWE Raw Paris Preview (6/8/26) – King & Queen of the Ring Tournament Continues

WWE Raw continues its European tour with a trip to the Accor Arena in Paris, France. WWE Raw Paris hosts King & Queen of the Ring first-round matches and much, much more.

As with last week, WWE Raw streams live on Netflix at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET. Last week’s WWE Raw was the best since the WrestleMania season ended. This was largely because WWE talent knew they had to put on action to rival the excellent El Grande Americano match that WWE chose to tag onto the end of the Netflix broadcast.

The hot post-Clash in Italy crowd also helped contribute to the quality of the show. But it was the freshness of the King & Queen of the Ring tournament that really helped. Seeing stars from WWE SmackDown really did add some needed freshness to WWE Raw.

So let us preview WWE Raw Paris now.

King of the Ring First Round Match

Oba Femi powered through to the second round of the tournament last week. Femi being on the other side of the bracket means the winner of this week’s match can only meet him in the final.

With King of the Ring winning a title shot at WWE SummerSlam, we have to preview this match by asking who we would really like to see headline the “Biggest Party of the Summer” (are they still calling it that?)

Je’Von Evans, nope. Ricky Saints, nope. Talla Tonga, perhaps. Roman Reigns is clearly going to need to get all his Bloodline to acknowledge him before WWE WrestleMania 43. The practically 7ft Talla Tonga hasn’t bowed to the Tribal Chief yet. A King of the Ring win for Tonga would help establish him as a worthy opponent for Reigns. Making a WWE SummerSlam showdown between Reigns and Tonga a decent story.

But of the four in this match, it’s Reigns’ former Shield buddy and firm rival, Seth Rollins, that makes the most sense to move forward. Rollins vs. Rhodes, or Rollins vs. Reigns, both feel like WWE SummerSlam main events. But Bron Breakker might feel he owes Rollins a nice, big Spear in the belly for beating him last week.

Queen of the Ring Match

Becky Lynch was fantastic as the hot potato Women’s Intercontinental Champion. So a solid run in the Queen of the Ring tournament seems justified.

Liv Morgan winning the tournament and facing herself at WWE SummerSlam is too wacky an idea not to get behind. Or perhaps she’d keep the crown and give the title shot to Roxanne Perez or Raquel Rodriguez. It’s hard to see Chelsea Green progressing in the tournament, even though that would be a lot of fun.

Alexa Bliss winning this match on WWE Raw in Paris would be interesting, as it could set up a second-round match with Charlotte if she is also victorious on WWE SmackDown. But it is hard to see past IYO SKY winning the whole tournament to set up a match with her bestie Rhea Ripley at WWE SummerSlam.

WWE Raw Paris: What Else?

Penta has offered a WWE Intercontinental Championship match to Rey Mysterio on a silver platter. That match could take place this week during WWE Raw in Paris.

Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca has followed suit and said she’d love to defend her title against Lyra Valkyria. Ruca also called her dude. Then Valkyria said dude to Bayley, who she ditched mid-interview to charm the crochet pants off Ruca to get the title shot.

Finally, does Paul Heyman have any ribs left after Bron Breakker inadvertently speared him through the barricade?
