NXT New Year’s Evil Results (01/06/26) – A New Year’s Revolution

NXT New Year’s Evil 2026 was the January 6, 2026, edition of WWE NXT. The special episode emanated from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. A lot of things happened over the last few weeks. Je’Von Evans is now a Red Brand man. Jordynne Grace seems to be on the road to the Blue Brand. Oba Femi’s vignettes on both RAW and SmackDown make us think his main roster time has come.

Four matches were advertised for NXT New Year’s Evil. Blake Monroe faces Thea Hail for the Women’s North American Championship. Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley will collide, without The Culling at ringside. Kendal Grey will try to become the first Evolve Champion to become NXT Women’s Champion.

The NXT Championship is also on the line, with Oba Femi facing TNA’s Leon Slater. In my Match Point, I was telling how important this match could be. NXT New Year’s Evil could turn into NXT New Year’s Revolution. Main roster calls, new talents, new Champions: a new chapter of NXT’s history is about to be written. Because TNA is involved, let’s Nygma dive into what happened last night.

About Steph Franchomme

Steph, for Stephanie, is not only eNYGMAtic, charismatic, but also “très chic.” Living in France, her birth country, she broke the language barrier to become a respected writer and interviewer on many wrestling promotions. She has developed a very special bond with TNA Wrestling over time to the point of becoming an Authority on the company. The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
