TNA iMPACT Results and Review (10/9/25) – The Bound For Glory Go-Home Show

The Path to TNA Bound For Glory has reached its boiling point, as TNA Wrestling nicely says. This long road until the October 12 PLE and TNA Hall of Fame Ceremony is coming to an end. It was the last iMPACT from the biggest TNA event of the year, after a glorious NXT Showdown. NXT General Manager Ava and TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella may think that the TNA/NXT partnership is back on good rails. I keep on saying so many things could happen at Bound For Glory.

The iMPACT preview was clear. With three matches and three segments announced, the episode could be a Bound For Glory go-home episode, like an NXT Showdown fallout episode. Let’s Nygma-dive into the TNA iMPACT results, as there are some things to say about it (as always).

The Nygma’s View

Bound For Glory Words

TNA World Champion Trick Williams kicked off iMPACT as he arrogantly addressed Mike Santana. Santana entered through the crowd to respond to Williams. He touched on his struggles with addiction, but said that he has earned his way back. Santana said he has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Williams replied that, after he beats him, Santana will be bound for rehab again. Unafraid, Santana told Williams, after he beats him, he will be bound for developmental again. Nygma says: Nothing, I just enjoyed every single word of it.

Director of Authority Santino Marella presided over the Contract Signing for the TNA Knockouts World Championship match at Bound For Glory between NXT’s Kelani Jordan and Indi Hartwell. They were interrupted by The Personal Concierge, who requested that Marella sign The Elegance Brand’s rematch at the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles, now held by The IInspiration.

Back to the task at hand, Jordan claimed that she is here to elevate the Knockouts World Title, TNA, NXT, and women’s wrestling. Jordan looked back to when Hartwell took her under her wing, but promised that she is not the same person. Hartwell spoke on the importance of this match and said that she won’t let anyone down. They both signed the contract and faced off one final time.

Messages From the Heart

The Hardys. Team 3D. TNA & NXT tag team gold at stake. Who is the greatest tag team of all time? We find out in the One Final Table match at Bound For Glory.

Leon Slater sent a bold message to NXT’s Je’Von Evans before their X-Division Title dream match this Sunday at Bound For Glory. He is an Honorary Hardy, he main-evented a PLE, and he became the youngest X-Division Champion of all time. He talked about the X-Division legacy, naming Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, and AJ Styles. Nygma will quote Slater: “This is my time to be remembered. And, Je’Von, if you think you’re going to take that (the belt) away from me, you’re crazy. ”

After Amazing Red last week, former LAX mentor Konnan offered some final words of guidance to Mike Santana. “These are the last steps on the Path of Purpose. Immortality awaits at Bound For Glory.” Nygma says: LAX’s motto was, “¡Hasta La Muerte Y Después!” as Konnan repeated. It brought me back to my early writing days, when a certain Konnan was also a huge supporter of the Nygma.

Bound For Glory Things

Order 4’s Mustafa Ali battled The System’s JDC, a few days before the Hardcore War at Bound For Glory. The other members of Order 4 and The System confronted each other at ringside. JDC leaped off the top to wipe out the Secret Service. A brawl broke out between the two factions at ringside.

Special Agent 0 hit JDC with a Choke Bomb into the hardest part of the ring. Ali followed up with the 450 to win. After the match, The System tossed weapons into the ring, a preview of what’s to come in Hardcore War, as Order 4 retreated. Nygma says: I will be happy to see them all fighting once and for all at Bound For Glory because that’s been too much between them.

And What Was Not Bound For Glory

After coming to the aid of The Home Town Man last week, Matt Cardona looked to teach Ryan Nemeth a lesson. Of course, Nic Nemeth NutCracked Cardona, but the referee ejected him from ringside. Cardona hit the Radio Silence to put Ryan away. Nygma scratches her head: where do we go now with the Nemeths, The Home Town Man, and Matt Cardona?

Joe Hendry and Eric Young settled their personal rivalry in a No-Disqualification Match. I told you it would be Young’s fest. He choked Hendry with a steel chain. Hendry whipped Young into a steel chair. Hendry hit an Olympic Slam on the chair for two. Then, Young NutCracked Hendry, followed by a Piledriver into the chair for the win. Nygma says: Joe Hendry really seems on his way out.

The Best of the Rest

  • Gia Miller vs Tessa Blanchard will be a personal battle at Bound For Glory.
  • The Rascalz headed to Santino Marella’s office in search of a match at Bound For Glory.
  • An emotional Mara Sadé reflected on her struggles growing up, and wants to inspire those who may be going through the same.

The Nygma’s Last Word(s)

Thirty minutes of action, nearly an hour of promos. The action was good. A part of the promos was not very useful. What I called the “Messages from the heart” were fabulous, because Bound for Glory is a kind of love letter to wrestling.

That’s all for the TNA iMPACT results of the week. The name “After The Bell” may have disappeared, but the Nygma spirit of the pieces will never disappear. If you want a dishonestly honest Nygma point of view, you’ll always find it here.

This path to Bound For Glory has been an exhausting one. The TNA Bound for Glory preview is coming soon. And on Sunday, I’ll be there with you. Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
