WWE NXT Review (5/19/26) – Fiery Debuts, Bitter Ends

Here is the WWE NXT review of the May 19, 2026, episode. The show was held in the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. This episode is Rookie & Championship time. Lizzy Rain, Tristan Angels, Kam Hendrix, Tate Wilder, Myka Lockwood, Mason Rook, Kali Armstrong, and Naraku have made their debut one after another. They all want gold, and the quest begins tonight.

Five matches were advertised for the May 19, 2026, NXT episode. On the rookie side, Tristan Angels makes his NXT in-ring debut. Tate Wilder faces Keanu Carver (good luck). Kam Hendrix and Mason Rook compete against the NXT Champion and the NXT North American Champion, Tony D’Angelo and Myles Borne.

On the Championship side, Tatum Paxley offered Lizzy Rain a chance at the NXT Women’s North American Championship after their win last week. Also, The Vanity Project puts the NXT Tag Team Championship on the line against DarkState. Will DarkState be on the same page? Because TNA Wrestling could be involved, let’s Nygma-dive into what happened last night.

About Steph Franchomme

Steph, for Stephanie, is not only eNYGMAtic, charismatic, but also “très chic.” Living in France, her birth country, she broke the language barrier to become a respected writer and interviewer on many wrestling promotions. She has developed a very special bond with TNA Wrestling over time to the point of becoming an Authority on the company. The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
