WWE NXT Review (5/19/26) – Fiery Debuts, Bitter Ends

Tatum Paxley, a true Champ

The NXT Women’s North American Championship remained with Tatum Paxley after a stiff competition from newcomer Lizzy Rain. The mutual respect between the two Superstars was evident, but that didn’t stop them from going all out in the name of being a champion.

Neither Superstar wanted to give an inch, but an expert counter by Paxley allowed her to hit the Cemetery Drive to retain her title. Paxley showed her respect to her opponent, helping Rain get up and hugging her. And Zaria arrived. She hit an F-5 on each woman and posed with the title.

The “Decimator” Carver

Keanu Carver continues his dominant streak to begin his NXT career, this time destroying Tate Wilder. The Adrenaline Junkie battled hard, but his inability to capitalize reared its head again as Carver nailed him with a match-ending Spinebuster.

Mason Rook & Kam Hendrix, Part. 2

Kam Hendrix made clear he wants to end Tony D’Angelo’s reign. Mason Rook arrived and said that everyone knows Hendrix took the win away from him. Rook decided to do him a favor and give him a chance to give credit from the big man. Hendrix refused, and Rook attacked.

About Steph Franchomme

Steph, for Stephanie, is not only eNYGMAtic, charismatic, but also “très chic.” Living in France, her birth country, she broke the language barrier to become a respected writer and interviewer on many wrestling promotions. She has developed a very special bond with TNA Wrestling over time to the point of becoming an Authority on the company. The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
