WWE NXT Review (5/19/26) – Fiery Debuts, Bitter Ends

Nygma Says

I said last week that NXT is in a rebuilding time. The new talents bring new opportunities, contenders, and feuds. It’s a “new” roster that, for the moment, has been trying to bring it together. The time for title chances and Championship matches will come once everything and everyone has found their place.

The title chances arrived a bit too early, maybe. Once again, that episode didn’t work, except for the NXT Women’s North American Championship match. Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain tore the house down with respect. Then, the rest of the show is quite weak. Too many rookies arrived at once, and we need a bit of time to find out about all of them. Zaria, Kelani Jordan, and Izzi Dame sound like broken records.

Six matches are already made for next week, with a new WWE Men’s Speed Championship tournament. Well, this new era of NXT is as exciting as it can be surprising. I’ll see you next week as I keep on exploring the NXT world through the NXTNA “cold war.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.

WWE NXT Results (5/19/26)

The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling.
