A graphic of NXT's Joe Hendry as he will come back to TNA Wrestling at Genesis 2026

Joe Hendry Will Appear at TNA Genesis 2026

WWE NXT talent Joe Hendry will appear at TNA Genesis 2026, as revealed by Jeff and Matt Hardy. The Hardys were promoting the upcoming January 15 and 17 shows in Garland, TX, when they revealed the little secret. What does the former TNA World Champion have in store for TNA Wrestling’s first PLE extravaganza of 2026? The mic on the graphic lets us think of a concert.

The announcement came as a surprise, as Hendry recently left TNA Wrestling to sign with WWE. In fact, Hendry’s return to the TNA stage highlights the continued working relationship between WWE and TNA. While Hendry has been a fixture on WWE NXT television, his history with TNA runs deep. Hendry won the TNA World Championship at TNA Genesis last year.

From TNA to NXT, Back to TNA

Hendry, 37, last wrestled for TNA in September at the TV tapings in Edmonton, Alberta, before moving full-time to WWE, where he has been appearing on NXT and SmackDown. Hendry spent three years with TNA, beginning in 2022, and won the TNA World Heavyweight title in January 2025 from Nic Nemeth.

TNA Genesis 2026 takes place at the Curtis Culwell Center, two days after TNA’s launch on AMC, with a live episode of Thursday Night iMPACT from the same arena. Hendry’s TNA comeback is a wild twist in a wrestling world that’s full of unpredictable moments, and one that fans will no doubt be watching closely. Whether they believe in Joe Hendry or not.
