TNA iMPACT! After The Bell (7/3/25) – Stuck In the Middle with You

This TNA iMPACT episode was the one you couldn’t miss. I talked of a humpy-bumpy road over the last few weeks, but this week, the road to Slammiversary was like the Indy 500 miles. It was fast and furious.

The fourth of six episodes that will lead us to TNA Slammiversary, one of TNA’s flagship events, was worthy of taking it “breath after breath,” like the title of my previewwas announcing. Let’s Nygma-dive into the episode, as there’s a lot to say about it.

TNA iMPACT! Results (7/3/25)

Of TNA

Indi Hartwell joined the announce table for The IInspiration vs VixTess (I just created it) match. Meanwhile, the Elegance Brand was watching backstage.

The match itself was good until Tessa Blanchard broke up a pin attempt and was tossed to the floor by Cassie Lee. Blanchard and Hartwell got in each other’s faces while the IInspiration hit the IIdolizer on Victoria Crawford for the win.

Blanchard and Hartwell then brawled at the ringside until security broke it up. Hartwell laid out the challenge for a match between them at Slammiversary. Also, The IInspiration will challenge The Elegance Brand for the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles the same night.

Nygma says: For Hartwell, revenge is a dish best served cold. For Ash by Elegance, if she defends at Slammiversary, someone else will go for the Knockouts title, but who?

Tasha Steelz stated that there is a lot of chaos and disorder in Order 4. That’s why she made the call to “Him,” Mr. Ali’s best friend, Cedric Alexander. Steelz asked Ali and Alexander to come to the ring. Alexander said he is not in TNA for hostility, he’s in TNA to help. Ali didn’t want his help as Alexander took everything from him on WWE 205 Live.

Ali wanted to beat the one guy he’s never beaten before, which means Cedric Alexander at Slammiversary. It ended up as a brawl, with Ali, Alexander, the Great Hands, and security involved. Tasha Steelz looked conflicted throughout the entire segment.

Nygma says: Tasha Steelz, you have to make your choice, not Ali’s or Alexander’s. Damn, think of yourself first…

I was expecting the match between Jake Something and Mance Warner not to end up fairly. When TNA International Champion Steve Maclin joined the announce table, the “expect” turned into “sure.”

There was a kind of debut of a match, but Maclin assaulted both men. Maclin, Something, and Warner continued to go at it until security broke them up. Steph De Lander pulled Warner up the ramp as Maclin and Something had to be held back by security. Nygma says: Is blowing a fuse contagious?

Trey Miguel was unable to compete due to a hernia injury, so Zachary Wentz took his place against Nic Nemeth tonight, with “The Young GOAT” Myron Reed accompanying him. If Wentz defeated Ryan, he couldn’t defeat Nic because of Ryan.

As Wentz took out Ryan at ringside,  the distraction allowed Nic to capitalize with the Danger Zone to win. Nygma says: We couldn’t expect more from the Nemeths, but Myron Reed being back is one hell of great news.

Of NXTNA

A chain match. Hardcore, violent, punitive. Well, 300% Nygma. Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly were chained together, which meant they wouldn’t do embroidery (a French way of saying, “not go in for subtleties”).

A chain can be wrapped around a neck or a fist; it is meant to hurt. Killer Kelly tried to choke Slamovich multiple times, but in the end, Slamovich choked Kelly with the chain until Kelly tapped out.

The match was brilliant, but NXT’s Fatal Influence attacked Masha Slamovich. Jacy Jayne hit a running knee on Slamovich and then grabbed the TNA Knockouts World Championship. Jayne took a good look at the title and then dropped it onto Slamovich.

Fatal Influence continued to beat on Slamovich until Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside ran out and cleared the ring. Nygma says: I think there’s a new #1 contender for the TNA Knockouts title.

Matt Cardona defeated Eddie Edwards, despite Alisha Edwards interfering, but thanks to Brian Myers trying to persuade Edwards not to use the System ring. What Cardona could expect was Myers and Edwards arguing. What he could not expect was the lights going out and NXT’s DarkState attacking him outta nowhere. Nygma says: Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, and Osiris Griffin have crossed the line.

Frankie Kazarian’s “King Speech” could have been called the Kaz Pit (as funny as Trick-NA but not for the same reasons). For the inaugural show of The King’s Speech, Kazarian had Joe Hendry, Mike Santana, and Trick Williams, so the Slammiversary main event. To sum it up, every guy wants the TNA World Champion, whether to retain it, win it, or regain it.

Kazarian loved the intensity and passion, but said if he can’t hold the TNA World Title, then the only person worthy is Trick Williams. Kazarian talked to Hendry and Santana, so Williams sneaked behind them. Williams hit Hendry and Santana from behind. A big brawl followed until Williams and Kazarian shook hands. Nygma says: Please don’t make Kaz the special guest referee of that match…

The Best of The Rest

  • Eric Young said that the Northern Armory embarrassed him when he got kicked out of the building, and they lost to The Hardys. Maybe Judas Icarus and Travis Williams aren’t the wolves he once saw. Icarus said that they will do whatever it takes. Young told him to prove it.
  • Mike Santana said he is not going to Slammiversary to lose. Santana is not going home to show his daughter that he’s empty-handed. Santana is walking out of Slammiversary as the TNA World Champion.
  • Sami Callihan was called for help with a towel over The Home Town Man’s head. Someone had attacked the Home Town Man and unmasked him. Security showed up as Callihan screamed for a doctor.
  • Very nice video package on Leon Slater, who revealed why making history is important to him.

The Slammiversary Card Consequences

Before iMPACT, the Slammiversary card was like this:

  • TNA World Championship 3-Way Match: NXT’s Trick Williams (c) vs Joe Hendry vs Mike Santana
  • TNA X-Division Championship Match: Moose (c) vs Leon Slater
  • TNA World Tag Team Championship 4-Way Ladder Match: The Nemeths (c) vs. The Rascalz vs. The Hardys vs. First Class

After iMPACT, we not only have four more matches signed, but potentially one or two more in the works.

  • TNA Knockouts World Title / WWE NXT Women’s Title Match (depending on NXT Battleground Women’s title match winner): Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Masha Slamovich (c) or Jordynne Grace (c) vs Masha Slamovich (c)
  • TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Title Match: The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance & Heather By Elegance) (w/The Personal Concierge) (c) vs. The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay)
  • Tessa Blanchard vs. Indi Hartwell
  • Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander

The NXT’s DarkState attack is made to build an 8-Man match, with one condition. As Moose is defending the X-Division title, that would mean Cardona joins the System for a night. Also, Steve Maclin will have to defend the TNA International title fairly. A 3-Way match is set for next week, but that doesn’t mean Jake Something, Mance Warner, or anyone else couldn’t have a chance.

The Nygma’s Last Word(s)

The news of Michael Madsen’s passing made me think of that title that, in fact, fits very well the episode. TNA has turned into a “Reservoir Dogs,” but for the best. This episode was exactly what TNA means: Total Nonstop Action.

There are 2 episodes left on the road to Slammiversary, so keep going that way because it will be a massive PPV. Don’t forget to listen and read about the fabulous Harley Hudson here. Till next week, may the Nygma be with you.
