Dark Side Of The Ring Season 6: Episode Guide & Matches To Watch

Vice TV’s Dark Side of the Ring season 6 will return next month with 10 brand-new episodes.

Here, we bring you an episode guide for each new dark story. Plus we give you one essential match to watch for each subject before their episode airs.

An episode on the Hell In A Cell match with interviews with Mick Foley looks set to be the premiere episode on March 25, 2025.

Watch the trailer below and read what to expect from each episode of Dark Side of the Ring 6.

Dark Side of the Ring Season 6

Episode: Hell In A Cell

What To Expect: Mick Foley will tell the story of his infamous match with The Undertaker, which left him with life-altering injuries. Jim Cornette rather flippantly comments that Foley allowed himself to get brain damage as part of the wrestling ‘angle’.

What To Watch: Mick Foley vs. The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match at WWF King of the Ring 1998.

Tony Atlas

What To Expect: Atlas has a story that is perfect for Dark Side of the Ring. Drugs, homelessness, murder and Vince McMahon handing him a gimmick that on reflection was pretty racist. Atlas appears in the trailer where he says “What comes out of Vince’s mouth, don’t trust it”.

Mark Henry is also interviewed for the season and will probably discuss Atlas being his manager and a glass-ceiling breaker for black wrestlers.

Watch To Watch: Atlas & Rocky Johnson vs. The Wild Samoans in a WWF Tag Team Championship match

Big Van Vader

What To Expect: This is an episode fans have been clamoring for from Dark Side of the Ring for years. An NFL career cut short, grizzly eye injuries, decapitated ears, sprained backs, riots in Japan, and a ban from Sumo Hall.

And then there’s everything that went down in the WWF. This will be one of those episodes that just gets crazier and crazier.

What To Watch: Vader vs. Cactus Jack in a Texas Deathmatch at WCW Halloween Havoc 1993

Muhammad Hussan

What To Expect: Brain injuries, terrorism angles, and lawsuits. This is what happens when Vince McMahon gives Italian American Marc Copani an Arab Terrorist character in the mid-2000s.

An obduction angle coinciding with the real-world London Bombings showed how tasteless the whole thing was. Copani and Cornette – who recommended him for the role – will both speak on the episode. Also, look out for Tommaso Ciampa as Hussan’s onscreen lawyer.

What To Watch: Muhammad Hussan vs. The Undertaker at The Great American Bash 2005

Daffney

What To Expect: This is going to be a tearjerker and a very, very difficult watch. Expect the story of a woman who gave everything to the wrestling industry and was left with serious side effects and injuries that ultimately led to her suicide.

Watch To Watch: Daffney vs. Taylor Wilde in the first-ever TNA Knockouts Monster’s Ball match at TNA Sacrifice 2009

Ludvig Borga

What To Expect: A six-month stint in the WWF positioned Borga as the next top foreign heel. But an injury led everything to come crashing down for Tony Halme.

Expect success in NJPW, backstage fighting, illegal guns, Nazi tattoos, drugs, a stay in a mental facility, a political career in Hulme’s native Finland, and a tragic death.

What To Watch: Ludwig Borga vs. Tatanka from WWF Superstars, or 1993 Survivor Series

Billy Jack Haynes

What To Expect: A unique episode with a subject who is awaiting trial on a murder charge. Expect police standoffs, manslaughter, physical backstage confrontations, and multiple versions of why he left the WWE.

What To Watch: Billy Jack Haynes vs. Hercules at WrestleMania III

“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert

What To Expect: Wholesome beginnings for a kid who would write articles for wrestling magazines and went on to start a stable with Sting, The Ultimate Warrior, Rick Steiner, and Missy Hyatt. Unfortunately, there are also car crashes, a match with a live bear, angles that got too real, the original wrestling shoot interview, and a far too-young death.

What To Watch: Eddie Gilbert & Sting vs. The Fantastics in a UWFTag Team Championship Match

“Superstar” Billy Graham

What To Expect: Evangelical preaching, abusive parents, bodybuilding with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and breaking the 1,237-day reign of Bruno Sammartino followed by the full gamut of health issues and both fair and fabricated legal battles with the WWE.

What To Watch: “Superstar” Billy Graham vs. Bruno Sammartino in a WWF Heavyweight Championship Match

The Original Sheik

What To Expect: The originator of hardcore wrestling and a character so hated that someone once tried to shoot him during a match. Flaming barbwire deathmatches, hidden weapons, blading, matches that literally stopped traffic, coups, shortchanging wrestlers and a torch passed to Sabu.

Rob Van Dam is set to give his inside take on the life of The Original Sheik.

What To Watch: The Sheik vs. Abdullah The Butcher
