England Predicted Lineup and Team News vs Norway

Last Word on Football brings you the England predicted lineup and latest team news ahead of their World Cup 2026 quarterfinal clash with Norway. A semifinal against either Argentina or Switzerland awaits the winners.

The Three Lions got past Mexico in the last round in a dramatic game, winning 3-2, and now face a Norwegian side full of confidence, having beaten Brazil to get to this stage. They also have the lethal Erling Haaland and Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard, both of whom will need to be closely watched. However, in Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, England have two players at the top of their game and can score against any defence.

England Team News

Reece James, Declan Rice, and Marc Guehi have all been concerns this week for Thomas Tuchel, but all three should be available for selection.

Jarell Quansah will be missing through suspension following his red card against Mexico, and should England progress, he will also miss the semifinal.

Assistant managerAnthony Barry believes it’s now time that England take the handbrake off and go for it as the World Cup enters its final stages. He said: “We believe that the petrol tank is full, the foot is on the gas, and now maybe we just need to take the handbrake off.

“There’s only 11 days left, and now is the time to take the handbrake off and go all in. We think that the public and everyone has seen so many good faces of this team, but we still believe there’s some left to show.

“And if they click, if they become coherent and be able to find a cohesive performance that we think they’re capable of, then it could be pretty exciting to watch.”
