Wolves are closing in on their third signing of the summer after agreeing a £7.7 million deal for Standard Liège winger Rafiki Saïd. According to The Telegraph’s John Percy, Wolves have reached an agreement with the Belgian club and the player is scheduled to undergo a medical today before the move is finalised.
The reported transfer represents another step in Wolves’ ongoing squad rebuild ahead of the upcoming Championship campaign. Having already added Kieran Trippier and Raúl Jiménez in the current window, the club appears keen to further strengthen its attacking options.
Wolves Have Reportedly Agreed a £7.7 Million Deal for Standard Liège Winger Rafiki Saïd
Who Is Rafiki Saïd?
Saïd is a 26-year-old winger who currently plays for Standard Liège and represents the Comoros national team. Predominantly a left-sided attacker, he is capable of operating across the front line. He has developed a reputation for his direct running, pace, and ability to create opportunities in the final third.

The winger arrived in Belgium after spending the majority of his career in France, where he featured for clubs including Brest, Stade Briochin, Nîmes, and Troyes. His performances have also earned him regular involvement at international level with Comoros, adding valuable experience despite still being in the prime years of his career.
The Stats Behind The Move
If the West Midlands side complete the signing, they will be acquiring a player coming off a productive campaign in Belgium. Saïd made 38 appearances across all competitions during the 2025/26 season, scoring eight goals and providing five assists.

Those numbers underline the attacking output that appears to have attracted Wolves’ interest. While statistics alone do not guarantee success in the Championship, Saïd demonstrated the ability to contribute consistently in the final third across a variety of attacking roles.
What Saïd Could Bring to Wolves
Wolves have often looked at their most dangerous when utilising quick, direct wide players capable of stretching opposition defences. Saïd’s profile suggests he could fit that mould, offering pace on the counter-attack while also possessing the technical quality to operate in tighter spaces.

His versatility may prove particularly valuable. The ability to play on either wing or in other advanced positions would provide additional tactical flexibility and competition for places within the squad. For a reported fee of £7.7 million, Wolves could view the deal as a relatively low-risk investment with significant upside if Saïd adapts quickly to English football.
While Wolves are yet to announce the transfer officially, all indications suggest the move is progressing towards completion. Percy’s report states that a medical is scheduled, with Saïd expected to become the club’s third signing of the summer, provided the remaining formalities are completed successfully.
As Wolves continue to shape their squad for the 2026/27 term, Saïd could become the latest addition in what is proving to be an active transfer window at Molineux. Whether he can translate his performances from Belgium to English Football remains to be seen, but the club clearly believes he has the qualities required to strengthen its attacking unit.
