Juventus have had a busier transfer window than usual. There have been several ins and outs as they attempt to build a squad that can put them back at the top of the tree in Italy. In an attempt to bolster the final third, another striker has been added with Arkadiusz Milik joining on loan.

Swapping France for Italy
Arkadiusz Milik seems to have been around for a number of years and yet he is still just 28. His first season in France with Olympique Marseille was successful enough – they finished second in the league and got to the semi-finals of the inaugural UEFA Conference League. On a personal note, the Polish forward led the side in goals in all competitions with 20.
Milik became most well known after his lengthy spell with Napoli. He made just short of 100 appearances for the Little Donkey and he is now set to return to Italy. Napoli themselves have brought in attacking reinforcements, most notably Georgian international Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has three goals in two.
Turning attentions back to the Bianconeri and Juve have started with a win and a draw. New signing Angel di Maria was on target against Sassuolo along with a Dusan Vlahovic brace but Max Allegri’s men were then unable to find a breakthrough away to Sampdoria. The aforementioned Vlahovic is of course the key man going forward but the Polish forward can deputize well. Federico Chiesa is still recovering from a long-term injury whilst Paulo Dybala, Douglas Costa, Federico Bernadeschi and Alvaro Morata have all departed in the last 12 months.

Why the Polish Forward Has Left Marseille
Milik’s move to Juventus makes a lot of sense from the Italian’s point of view, but questions arise over Marseille’s position on this move. His stay with the French side has only just been made permanent after a successful loan spell. Turmoil has been common at the Stade Orange Velodrome this summer following the loss of manager Jorge Sampaoli.
Marseille’s squad overhaul has been ridiculous in truth, with Boubacar Kamara and Steve Mandanda leaving on frees being just the tip of the iceberg. On the flip side, Alexis Sanchez and Luis Suarez are new arrivals in the final third plus wingback Jonathan Clauss has been brought in from RC Lens. These moves allow for the loss of Polish forward Milik and so this is a move that works for all relevant parties, including, of course, the player himself.
