Predicted Arsenal Starting Lineup for London Derby Against Fulham

Arsenal starting lineup

Arsenal have been dominant in the league so far, winning everything in their attempt to bring the first league title to the club since 2003/04. Fulham are the next side in their way, so learn who Last Word on Football predicts as Arsenal’s lineup for the London derby.

Predicting the Arsenal Starting Lineup

How Arsenal Have Lined Up Recently

In the Gunners’ last match, they eased past AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, with Aaron Ramsdale facing a single shot on target. Gabriel and William Saliba play at centre-back in front of the keeper, with Ben White out of position at right back. Oleksandr Zinchenko stayed in the team at left-back, with Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka protecting the back line.

Martin Odegaard demonstrated just how aggressively he could play, scoring a brace against the Cherries. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli played in the wide positions, with Gabriel Jesus terrorising the Bournemouth back-line from number nine.

Arsenal Injuries to Consider

Mikel Arteta’s side is only suffering from one injury, and that is for a player that is unlikely to see minutes in any case. Reiss Nelson is rarely in the Arsenal starting lineup, and that continues as the young winger has a muscular injury and is ruled out of the match.

Predicted Arsenal Starting Lineup

Ramsdale retains his place in goal. A clean sheet against Bournemouth means the same for Saliba and Gabriel. Kieran Tierney takes Zinchenko’s place in the squad at risk, but strong form means the Ukrainian starts on the opposite side to White. Meanwhile, Xhaka and Partey stay in midfield.

Odegaard’s braced against Bournemouth keeps him in the squad, with the youth and pace of Saka and Martinelli perfect for threatening the inexperience of Kenny Tete and Antonee Robinson. Jesus’ reign of terror continues in attack.

Current Odds: Arsenal vs Fulham

Arsenal are comfortable favourites at 4/11. Meanwhile, the draw is the next most likely at 5/1. Fulham are outsiders at 9/1.
