Right-back Reece James is out of this game with a calf injury sustained in the 0-0 draw with Ghana. He is also considered doubtful for the last 32 match next week. Djed Spence and central defenders Jarell Quansah and Ezri Konsa are options for Tuchel, with Spence the more likely to get the nod. Find out below.
Speaking about the right-back situation, Tuchel said: “I am happy with my options at right-back. I selected the team, so I’m very happy with everything with the characteristics of the players and the strengths that they give us.
“We would love to have every single key player, we would love to have them available, it’s not available – we find solutions, it’s what we do. It’s a tournament, we move on.”
