Players will come, and players will go, with Ibrahima Konate already leaving. It’s a club that always has high expectations, and the coming season will be no different. There will be an expectation that the club will challenge for the title.
David Ornstein is reporting that Liverpool are making their first significant move of the summer and have intensified their pursuit of RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande. It appears they are willing to put forward a package of £86 million for the talented 19-year-old attacker.
This new development shows a clear intent from Liverpool to get this deal over the line as early as possible. Ornstein reports that Paris Saint-Germain remain in contention for the talented teenager, with the destination for the player likely to be decided by his preference.

Yan Diomande to Liverpool
It is thought Liverpool are in the driving seat to the sign the Ivorian attacker, who has been described as “an endlessly enthusiastic dribbler.”
The German club understandably does not want the teenager to leave. He scored 12 goals and provided nine assists over 33 league appearances for a Leipzig team that finished third and qualified for the Champions League. Diomande is part of the Ivory Coast World Cup squad, playing 90 minutes in the 1-0 win against Ecuador.
