Manchester United vs Sunderland: Injury News and How to Watch

Manchester United take on newly promoted Sunderland on Saturday, October 4th at 3 pm. The visitors have had an excellent start to the season and are currently fifth in the Premier League table. Whereas United have seen little to no improvement in their form from last season, despite spending big during the summer, and are currently 14th. The Black Cats beat Nottingham Forest away from home last time out and will travel to Old Trafford full of confidence. The Red Devils, on the other hand, lost 3-1 at Brentford with head coach Rubin Amorim under increasing pressure.

Amad Diallo – The former Sunderland loanee missed the Brentford defeat after being given compassionate leave following a family bereavement.

Reinildo – Currently serving a three-match suspension after being sent off in the home draw against Aston Villa. Will be available for selection against Chelsea.

Habib Diarra – Required surgery on a groin injury and is not expected to return until December.

Romain Mundle – Injured during pre-season, the winger is not expected to be back in contention until after the next international break.

Dennis Cirkin – Still suffering from a wrist injury that has caused him issues since last season. Expected back in around a month.

Aji Alese – Out since January, but has begun light training. Another who could be back within a month

Leio Hjelde – Had surgery on both achilles during the summer. Back in light training.

Fit to Play

Nordi Mukiele – There was speculation that the defender was set to miss out this weekend; however, head coach Regis Le Fee confirmed in his pre-match press conference that he was available for selection.
