Manchester United Predicted Lineup vs FCSB for January 30

How Manchester United Have Lined Up Recently

Andre Onana has been the subject of heavy criticism but kept a clean sheet in the victory over Fulham. Altay Bayindir’s impressive performances in Europe have seen some claims for him to replace the former Ajax goalkeeper as number one. In defence, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Lisandro Martinez all contributed to the clean sheet against The Cottagers.

Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui also contributed to the shutout as wing-backs. Manuel Ugarte put in a great performance before he was forced off with injury, winning seven duels. Bruno Fernandes showed he can be a part of a good defensive team performance while playing in a deeper role.

Amorin was brave in attack, selecting two natural wingers Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho behind Rasmus Hojlund. However, the front three struggled and failed to have a shot on target. The Red Devil’s struggles to put together a consistent attack is why they should move for an attacker this month.

Manchester United’s Recent Form and Tactics

Since Ruben Amorin took over at Old Trafford, he has stuck to his tried and trusted 3-4-2-1 formation. This has frustrated fans who believe Manchester United do not have the players to play the way the former Sporting Lisbon manager wants. However, the 40-year-old may finally be starting to connect with his players and they have a chance to build momentum against FCSB.

Manchester United have responded well to a 3-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion with wins over Rangers and Fulham. They have only lost once in their last six games and the Red Devils will hope this improved form will help them finish on a high in the Europa League and improve on their twelfth position in the Premier League.

Injuries and Suspensions To Consider

Luke Shaw has returned to training this week but is not expected to play against FCSB. He last played in a 4-0 win over Everton in December and the England international has struggled to play consistently since February 2024. The defender’s injury issues are the reason the Red Devils have paid £30 million for Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu.

Manchester United still have a few fitness problems. Mason Mount (thigh), Manuel Ugarte (knock), and Jonny Evans (muscular injury) will all be out. Marcus Rashford hasn’t featured in a matchday squad since December 30 and will remain out while his future is resolved.
