Leicester City Predicted Lineup Vs Queens Park Rangers
How Leicester City Have Lined-up Recently
The first game of 2025 for Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s side saw more of the same as individual errors cost him any chance at points.
Jakub Stolarczyk retained his position in between the sticks as Mads Hermansen is still injured. The centre-back partnership of Jannik Vestergaard and Conor Coady has been preferred by the Dutchman so far, with Wout Faes being sidelined last time out. To round off the defence, it was James Justin and Luke Thomas providing width last time out as Victor Kristiansen was ill.

The double pivot of Harry Winks and Boubakary Soumaré was chosen again last weekend for the third time in a row, with the duo offering balance. On the wings, it was Stephy Mavididi and the returning Jordan Ayew, as he returned from suspension. Bilal El Khannouss then kept his position in the centre, whilst Facundo Buonanotte was benched for the fourth time under his new manager.
Leading the line was Jamie Vardy with backup option Patson Daka coming off the bench late on.
Leicester City’s Recent Form and Tactics
Five losses in a row for the Foxes were sealed through Aston Villa’s 2-1 victory at the weekend. It was another close game as it was decided by a 76th-minute Leon Bailey goal that picked up on a huge mistake from Justin. This now leaves the East-Midlands-based side still in 19th and three points off safety.

The first half was quiet at both ends as the home side managed just three shots on target to Leicester’s one. Ross Barkley eventually broke the deadlock with a bottom-left strike on the edge of the box, but the lead would be erased by Mavididi. Bailey then found the Villans’ second of the day, which helped them take all three points.
Another disappointing performance for the side that sits 19th, which leaves huge pressure on the upcoming fixtures and transfer window.
Leicester City Injuries to Consider
First-choice goalkeeper Hermansen is still sidelined with no update from his coach other than that he will be out for a bit longer. Jannik Vestergaard is the latest player out after an injury an hour in, which leaves him a doubt for this weekend. There were no other new injuries but Kasey McAteer could be available as he is back in training.
