How Aston Villa Have Lined-up Recently
For their most recent match against Leicester City on January 4, Unai Emery made three changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Brighton on December 30, as Tyrone Mings, Matty Cash and Ross Barkley came in for Diego Carlos, Pau Torres and Morgan Rogers.

They lined up in their regular 4-2-3-1 with Emi Martinez in goal, Cash at right-back, Ezri Konsa and Mings at centre-back and Lucas Digne on the left. Boubacar Kamara and Barkley held the fort in defensive midfield, while Leon Bailey, Youri Tielemans and John McGinn supported Ollie Watkins up top.
After their 2-2 draw with Brighton, Villa got back to winning ways against Leicester, winning 2-1 with all three goals coming in the space of 18 second-half minutes. Barkley gave Villa the lead on 58 minutes, but Stephy Mavididi equalised five minutes later.

Villa huffed and puffed in search of another goal and got their reward fourteen minutes from time when Bailey converted from close range following Ian Maatsen’s cutback, the victory taking Villa up to 8th in the table and putting them in good stead for the start of their FA Cup journey.
Aston Villa Injuries to Consider
Going into the West Ham game, Emery has got a lot on his plate injury-wise. McGinn exited the Leicester game early with what is now perceived to be a long-term hamstring problem, while starting centre-backs Torres and Carlos look to be ruled out with respective foot injuries.
