Spurs Now on the Verge of First Summer Signing

According to Fabrizio Romano, Kulusevski will cost in the region of £25.5 million – a £4.5 million discount on the initially agreed upon £30 million buy option in his loan deal, while Gianluigi Longari claims that Spurs are only “one step away” from completing the move.

Gianluca Dimarzio corroborates these reports, stating that the parties are very close to agreeing a fee that will allow the deal to be completed.

In the current market where players of Kulusevski’s age and quality are costing well over £50 million, this is a fantastic piece of business for Spurs.

The “sensational” Swede, who reportedly makes £110,000 per year, moved to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in January of 2022 on an 18-month loan deal, and has largely impressed with his performances for the North London outfit ever since. This seems to have earned him a permanent stay in the English capital, with the deal now set to be finalised.

Tottenham Need a Strong Summer

There is no doubt in any fan’s mind that Spurs need to have a strong summer transfer window in 2023.

After – and indeed in the buildup to – Antonio Conte’s departure, the Lillywhites looked devoid of direction, and they finished the 2022/23 season in a dismal eighth place, their worst league rank for 15 years.

It is now imperative that they have a strong summer, not just in terms of securing quality signings, but in making sure their star players – namely Harry Kane – are still playing their football in North London once the transfer window slams shut on September 1.
