Rashford’s brilliant header against Leeds was the culmination of an excellent team move, as he found himself on the end of an exquisite cross from Luke Shaw, before heading past Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal making it 13 goals in 15 appearances since his return from the World Cup. It was a moment of quality that highlighted his technical ability and clinical finishing and helped secure a vital victory for United in their pursuit of a top-four finish.

Praise From Far and Wide

Ten Hag has previously praised Rashford, describing him as “hungry following a Carabao Cup win over Burnley. The England international has undoubtedly stepped up his performances this season and has taken his goalscoring to a new level this season. The Old Trafford club have been linked to many forwards since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite the many rumours about new arrivals and the loan signing of Wout Weghorst, Rashford continues to shoulder the responsibility of goalscoring for the red half of Manchester.

His form this season has won him praise from many people. He was described as “impossible to play against” following a Manchester United win over Omonia Nicosia earlier this season. The Red Devils’ 2-0 victory over Leeds United saw more praise aimed his way, with Ten Hag teasing United fans: “I can get more out of him. He has such high potential.”
