Tottenham Hotspur Lineup Prediction vs Liverpool

How Tottenham Hotspur Have Lined-up Recently

Tottenham Hotspur have recently lined up in a 3-4-3 formation. Hugo Lloris starts at the back, protected by Cristian Romero, Clement Lenglet and Eric Dier. A midfield of Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg protect the back line, with Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon providing width at wing-back.

The front line consists of two wingers and a centre-forward, with everyone contributing to both chance creation and finishing. A fully fit front line consists of Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Dejan Kulusevski.

Tottenham Hotspur Recent Form and Tactics

Spurs’ last run of fixtures has been far from ideal, picking up only two wins in the past five. A sneaky win against Bournemouth and a last-minute winner against Marseille have been the difference between no wins in five and Champions League qualification.

Part of the cause of this could be Antonio Conte’s tactics. The Italian has a firm tendency to follow counter-attacking tactics, absorbing pressure from the opponent and striking on the counter. Clubs have recently found ways of getting around this, such as sitting somewhat deeper, which has led to a serious downturn in results.

Tottenham Hotspur Injuries to Consider

The North London squad is riddled with injuries. Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski both face last-minute fitness tests to return to the squad, with Lucas Moura also suffering from a minor injury that could keep him away from the match.

There is a long list of players that are entirely ruled out for Antonio Conte. Cristian Romero has an unknown injury, Son Heung-Min is undergoing surgery on a fracture around his eye and Richarlison has a minor injury that has kept him out for some time now.
