Interest in Adama Traore

According to Calciomercato, Everton are now showing an interest in Malian forward Adama Traore following the forward’s prolific start to life with Ferencvaros, as the Toffees take an early look toward the January transfer window.

Everton are preparing to launch a bid for the free-scoring winger as Frank Lampard seeks to bolster his attacking options with Everton still lacking support in wide areas to support Demarai Gray, Anthony Gordon, and Dwight McNeil.

The Malian forward has had a prolific start to the season with Ferencvaros in Hungary, having joined the team over the summer from Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova. Traore has made 14 appearances for the Hungarian side, scoring 12 goals and assisting four in all his appearances.

The player also played a key role in the team’s qualification to the Europa League group stage this season, Having scored six goals in eight appearances during their playoffs campaign.

Traore is no stranger to European competition; after helping Sheriff Tiraspol to their first ever Champions League group stage appearance, the player played a key part in their famous Cinderella story against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The player penned a three-year deal with Ferencvaros to add a new attacking threat to manager Stanislav Cherchesov’s team. Ferencvaros believed he could help take their forward line to a higher level after hitting 25 goals and laying on 16 assists in all competitions at FC Sheriff Tiraspol

His outstanding performances for the club since joining in the summer have piqued the interest of Everton manager Frank Lampard. The Merseyside club are yet to win a game in the Premier League this season and is hoping that a move for the free-scoring winger will remedy their fortunes.

New Attacking Dimension for Frank Lampard

The Toffees have scored just four goals in five Premier League games this season. Magnifying their need for new attacking options since losing Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur, the team were interested in a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Adama Traore, but the deal didn’t materialize before the transfer deadline.

Everton’s lack of attacking options on the pitch has also hampered their fortunes this season, as the club is yet to win a Premier League game and currently sits in 16th place on the table.

Frank Lampard will be looking to find a quick solution to their lack of creativity and goals ahead of a proposed move for Adama Traore in January.

The 27-year-old winger will certainly add a new attacking dimension to the Toffees’ attacking options with his direct style of wing play. The player likes to cut inside and dictate attacking proceedings, scoring goals and creating chances for the team.
