Emerson Royal to Tottenham Deal Close to Completion

Tottenham Desperate to Sign Emerson Royal Over Last Few Weeks

Spurs have been chasing after the 22-year old over the course of the last few weeks and may finally be about to land their man, with a deal close to send him to England.

He’s looked impressive for Barcelona in his three appearances for them so far this campaign and new Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo is now eager to see him strut his stuff in the Premier League this season.

Despite his young age, the player has looked like a man with bags of potential, having impressed on loan at Real Betis. With over 70 appearances to his name despite having just left his teens, he managed ten assists and four goals during his stint at the club.

Looked Impressive Despite His Age

He looks like he could get even better as he gets more and more game time and Spurs have been desperate to ensure that his progression continues with them. A fee is now close to being agreed and will be worth around €30 million according to these reports – a substantial fee but one that could pay dividends over the course of the next few seasons.

The right-back hasn’t officially completed negotiations yet but talks are well underway and could be completed before the close of the transfer window.

In terms of outgoings for the club, Spurs will not be selling Tanguy Ndombele despite bringing in another fresh face.

It looked like the midfielder might have been flogged before the close of business but the player will now remain at the club, according to The Athletic, and could be a useful part of the squad this campaign.

With a new boss at the helm, he could find himself getting more action and could re-find some of the form that had many in Europe gushing over his talents.
