Long-Term Admirers

Real Madrid are long-term admirers of Mbappe. The Spanish giants have been plotting a plan of when and how to sign him since he burst on to the scene as a teenager.

After a quiet summer, Madrid made their approach for the 22-year-old on August 24, and have since had two bids rejected by PSG.

With just one day left of the transfer window, Carlo Ancelotti’s side will have to pay £200 million to lure Mbappe away from the Parc des Princes

However, the transfer may be slightly easy for the Spanish side, as, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solekhol, Mbappe does not want to sign a new contract with PSG. The 22-year-old currently has one-year left on his currently deal, and is unlikely to remain in the French capital beyond next summer.

The French side are keen to keep one of their most coveted possessions. He is part of one of the most frightening attacks in world football, and PSG are keen to keep him happy for the future.

However, following the arrival of Lionel Messi, Mbappe is now out of the limelight and competing to be the best striker at the club. As a result, he wants to be number one at another club.

The 22-year-old French international has had a prolific start to the season, registering three goals in four games. It continues his good form from last season, where he scored 46 times in 61 appearances.

Should Mbappe leave this late in the window, PSG could target a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, although it is unlikely he will be allowed to leave.
