Leicester City Transfer News: Dennis Praet Departure, Ademola Lookman Talks

Leicester City

It looks set to be a busy last few days of the transfer window for Leicester City, with two potential departures and another player possibly coming in.

Here is the latest Leicester City transfer news ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.

Leicester City Transfer News: Praet to Leave, Lookman Could Come In

Dennis Praet On the Way Out

Belgian midfielder Dennis Praet is set to join Serie A side Torino on loan with an option to buy for €15 million, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Praet has struggled for game time since his move from Sampdoria in 2019, making only 15 appearances in the Premier League last season as the Foxes qualified for the Europa League.

The 27-year-old’s move to Torino will allow him to get more game time, which may also help towards his continued selection for the Belgium national team.

His departure will also free up space for an attacking addition to Leicester’s squad, with many options such as David Neres and Ademola Lookman considered.

Ademola Lookman Talks On

One of those targets, Lookman, is already in talks over a move to the club, reports Sky Sports.

They say that although there is still some distance between Leicester and RB Leipzig in their valuations of the player, but that Lookman is keen to get the deal done.

Brendan Rodgers’ side do not have any other targets if they cannot do the deal.

Choudhury Could Still Leave

Another option to free up space on the wage bill could be the departure of Hamza Choudhury.

Newcastle United have one again been linked with a move for the midfielder after they tried to sign him on a temporary basis in January.

The Magpies have made just one addition this summer after the permanent acquisition of Joe Willock from Arsenal following a successful loan spell last season.
