Kylian Mbappé Desperate for Real Madrid Transfer

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé is still pushing for a transfer to Real Madrid in the coming days. The Spanish giants’ latest and final offer to the Ligue 1 leaders is a €170 million fee, plus a further €10 million in add-ons, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The France international has reportedly told people close to him that he wants to join Real Madrid this summer rather than as a free agent in a year’s time. Mbappé’s PSG teammates are also aware that the player no longer wants to play for the club this season.

PSG Have Not Yet Responded to Latest Bid

Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has a big decision on his hands when it comes to Mbappé’s future. On the one hand, his club are determined to keep hold of a brilliant young player who acts as something of a poster boy for French football. Doing so will also prevent Les Parisiens from being bullied into a sale by Florentino Perez and Real Madrid.

On the other hand, Al-Khelaifi will be aware that rejecting the latest astronomical offer tabled by Real could be seen as a churlish mistake this time next year, when Mbappé would simply join the Madrid club on a free transfer.

The PSG chairman has publicly admitted that Mbappé wants to leave, and has said that a transfer will be granted if it satisfies the club’s conditions. Receiving a total transfer fee of €180 million for a player with only a year left on his contract is as good a deal as the French side could hope for, and Real will not return with a new offer if their latest proposal is rejected.

PSG Still Owe Monaco for Mbappé Signing

When discussing the Mbappé transfer saga, Al-Khalaifi made the admission that the forward’s previous club, AS Monaco, are still owed part of the €180 million fee agreed for PSG to sign him in 2018.

So far, only €145 million has been paid, and PSG are reluctant to accept Real Madrid’s advances unless they can return a profit on the original transfer fee they paid three years ago.

With days to go until the window slams shut, Madrid are growing increasingly confident that PSG will eventually accept their offer, paving the way for them to make Mbappé their latest Galactico.
