Real Madrid Make Improved Bid for Kylian Mbappe

After failing to hit the mark with their first bid of around €160 million, Real Madrid have made an improved offer of €170 million for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, according to Sky Sports. The offer comes as no surprise considering Madrid’s desire to land the Frenchman, and the player’s willingness to make the move.

Mbappe’s contract has just one year remaining, meaning that he’ll be a free agent this time next summer. And that’s the last thing any club want for their most valuable asset. The fact is, if PSG want to make money from Mbappe, it must be this summer. If it’s not, they will lose him for free.

Mbappe Wants Madrid Move

After growing up idolising former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, it has quickly become no secret that Mbappe wants to realise in childhood dream by moving to the Bernabeu, either this summer, or the next. Recently speaking to RMC, PSG sporting director, Leonardo, made several admissions about the forward, saying: “Kylian Mbappé wants to join Real Madrid and we will NOT hold him back. We said NO to Madrid’s first offer, but if our conditions are met, we’ll see.”

The transfer saga has suddenly burst into life, becoming increasingly public by the minute. PSG’s anger towards Madrid has been revealed and Florentino Perez did not pass up the chance to aim a dig towards the Ligue 1 side, telling Jose Manuel Moreno: “They [PSG] have already answered and rudely…”

With all the anger between both sides, it will be interesting to see whether a deal can actually be done this summer. It would certainly suit both parties. Real Madrid need Mbappe, after all, who wouldn’t? And PSG have no choice but to sell this summer if they want to receive a fee. Most importantly, the player, himself, wants the move.
