Bolton Wanderers Complete Marcus Maddison Loan Deal

Maddison Bolton

Bolton Wanderers have officially completed a loan deal for Charlton Athletic winger Marcus Maddison until the end of the season.

The winger should bring the quality Bolton desperately need to ensure a place in the football league next season.

As it stands, Bolton sit 19th and six points clear of the dreaded drop. The hope from a Bolton perspective will be that, with the signing of Maddison, they’ll have more than enough to push further away from the relegation scrap.

Bolton Complete Maddison Loan Deal

Maddison: ‘Bolton My Number One Choice’

Speaking to the club’s official website after completing the move, Maddison said: “As soon as I heard Bolton Wanderers were interested in me they immediately became my Number One choice.

“Bolton are a big club and are in a position where they shouldn’t be. I am going to do my best to help get them back to where they belong.

“As a winger, goals and assists are a huge part of my game and I’m really looking forward to playing for the club.”

Bolton manager Ian Evatt then added: “Marcus is a fantastic talent and is a player I have long admired.

“He brings quality to the squad and will be a big player for us for the remainder of the season.”

Added Creativity

So far this season, Bolton have done as expected without performing any miracles. But, the added quality Maddison can bring could propel Evatt’s side from a relegation battle to the comforts of mid-table.

Only time will tell just how big an impact Maddison will have. Considering the move is just on loan, and, therefore no transfer fee needed to be paid, the deal seems to suit all parties.

Bolton have their man, Maddison has the chance for more minutes and Charlton have cleared the deadwood in their squad.
