Atletico Madrid Close to Ending Their Search for a Striker

Atletico Madrid’s search for a striker looks finally nearing the end with the Rojiblancos closing in on a deal to sign Lyon striker Moussa Dembele. According to another report by L’equipe, the French striker will join Atletico Madrid on loan with an option to buy.

Dembele has been struggling for stats at Lyon this season. The 24-year-old, who was the club’s top scorer during the last two seasons, has had just one goal in his 13 appearances for the club. The sudden slump in form for the striker and the return of Memphis Depay has seen Dembele playing most of his matches off the bench.

Arkadiusz Milik to Olympique Marseille Complicated

Another striker who has been in demand during this transfer window is the Polish international Arkadiusz Milik. The striker has not made a single appearance for the Napoli this season and is keen to move out of Italy. Milik, whose contract ends this summer, is reportedly a target of several clubs.

But, Napoli’s insistence on a €15 million transfer fee – for a player who is available on free at the end of this season – has seen many teams opting out of signing him. Olympique Marseille are the latest club who are pulling out a deal to sign the out-of-favour striker, according to Fabrizio Romano. Earlier, Atletico Madrid also pulled out of signing the forward due to his high transfer fee.

Pol Lirola to Fiorentina

Ligue 1 is buzzing with transfer activities and Pol Lirola is the latest player linked with a move to France. The Spaniard is close to signing for Olympique Marseille. According to Romano, the full-back will join the French side on loan with an option to sign.
