Ligue 1 champions PSG have secured the season-long loan signing of Danilo Pereira.

The 29-year-old defensive midfielder joins the French side on a loan deal until June 2021, with the option to turn his move permanent at the end of the season.

Since joining Porto in 2015, Pereira has made over 200 appearances for the Portuguese outfit.

During his time in the Norte region, the 29-year-old midfielder has won two Primeira Liga titles.

According to French media outlet RMC (via Get Football News France), the loan deal is worth €4 million, with a further €16 million “obligation to buy”.

Discussing his move to the French capital, Pereira said: “It is a new challenge for me and to be part of Paris Saint-Germain fits my ambitions.

“Joining one of the biggest clubs in Europe and in the world is a huge moment in my career and I hope to be able to bring a lot to Paris and its supporters.”

Pereira’s transfer to Paris comes shortly after the loan signing of Moise Kean from Everton.

Manager Thomas Tuchel is now well-stocked with options in midfield.

The German has Idrissa Gueye, Leandro Paredes and Maxen Kapo available as well as now Pereira.

PSG have endured a slow start to their 2020-21 Ligue 1 campaign.

The Parisians lost their two opening League matches, against Lens and at home to Marseille, before picking up nine points from their last three fixtures.
