Albert Adomah has joined the club he supported as a boy, Queens Park Rangers, as a free agent. Adomah left Nottingham Forest a week ago and is an experienced Championship player, having played at that level for ten years.

Queens Park Rangers Sign Albert Adomah

Promotion King

Albert Adomah is a self-confessed QPR fan. He has been spotted buying the club shirt in the past and told the club’s official website that he is “delighted” to get the opportunity to play for his own club: “Imagine being a supporter and playing for the club you love. Words can’t even describe it. It’s just amazing, just a pleasure to be here.”

In his career, Adomah has managed to win two promotions and is aiming for his third with QPR: “Every team wants to win promotion. I have managed it twice and it is a beautiful feeling.”

Experienced Side

Adomah joins an experienced Queens Park Rangers with Geoff Cameron and Lee Wallace both above 30 years of age. QPR boss Mark Warburton wants that experience, so adding 32-year-old Adomah to his squad is no issue: “I am delighted to add Albert – he will provide a wealth of experience.”

Career Stats

Over his career, Adomah has made 568 appearances, scoring 89 goals. He has played for Middlesbrough, Barnet, Bristol City, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City in his career.

The majority of his goals in his career have come from his right foot and he can still cause defenders problems cutting in from either wing.

Adomah will remain a hero at former club Nottingham Forest after scoring against arch-rivals Derby County in the Carabao Cup back in 2019.

QPR will be hoping Adomah has one last hurrah in him as the club try to get back to the promised land of the Premier League.
